The facts on the book are actually already shortened. But it took me a while to finish because I was so hooked to it that I want to digest every single event written. Isenberg made me love my most hated part of my World History class--which was Roman Empire (I love the Greek history better). Before, I only know that Caesar was a conqueror. Now, I see him as a man who created, written and respect the law. A man who fought alongside his soldiers for Rome. A man who used not only his fearlessness, but also his intelligence to capture the enemies and later turn them into his allies. A man who with a goal in mind set, fought till the very last breath.

I love the way it was written that it is very easy to understand.

A quick account of Caesars campaigns and achievements. Interesting and while not a "page turner" definatly worth reading.
