I absolutely adore all the Unicornia covers, that very pretty and girly.
You know when I was a little girl, I used to have a book with all different fairy stories in, so this very day, I still love books filled with magic and anything, girly, and that flys.
I just adore this series with flying unicorns, and Claudia who has the shape of unicorns upon her head.
The best magical part, Unicornia is the most magical place ever, to live in up in magical sky in Unicornia land. Pretty colourful, Unicorns can be found flying around up in the clouds.
Claudia is entering a cupcake contest using a recipe from the Magical Recipes from Unicornia. The scenes are absolutely hilarious, Claudia gets into a bit of trouble baking her cakes.
When Claudia sees a boy at Unicornia Academy of Magic with a special magical biscuit she comes up with the idea that Sasha and Claudia could work together to enter the Magical Cupcake Contest together.
Will Sasha and Claudia be able to come up with a magical cupcake recipe in time to enter the Magical Cupcakes Competition?
This is a wonderful magical series to fill all little girls with such perfect fun. I can’t get enough of this series fast enough, so here I am waiting patiently for the next book Unicornia The Dance Show!
Although the series of Unicornia is for 5 to 9 years old, in my view any reader that appreciates children’s magical fantasy books will love every magical second.
I would recommend unicornia book series for all little girls that love Isadora Moon books by Harriet Muncaster.
I would like to thank Walker books for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.
When Claudia signs up for the cupcake contest, she tries out new magical recipes and everything ends in disaster. The magical ingredients are more temperamental than regular baking ingredients, and Claudia is discouraged. But she knows that a boy in her school, Sasha, is an excellent baker, and she asks him to join her as a team. Together they try out several magical recipes until they find just the right cupcake recipe to bake for the judges.
This was such a cute book! I love all the magic in the land of Unicornia and the sweet characters. It's so lovely how Claudia friends rally around her to encourage and support her. Although this is the third book in the series, it can also be read as a stand-alone.
I loved the adorable art work! It really brings the magic to life, and I loved seeing all the cute designs. Even the butter has a silly grin and the cupcakes start dancing around and all the magical ingredients give a cute wink when they act out. It's so funny and whimsical!

Unicornia: The Cupcake Contest is the third book in the children’s younger end of middle-grade series, Unicornia. The series features a young girl called Claudia who moves to Unicornia; a magical city that is filled with unicorns, glitter and magic, due to her parents opening a shop there.
In this latest book it is the anniversary of Unicornia being created and so the city is about to have a super-sparkly-birthday-party. As part of the celebrations a magical cupcake contest is taking place and Claudia decides to enter, however, she has never made magical cakes before, only normal ones.
The third book in the series is just as entertaining and fun as the first two books, Unicornia: Learning to Fly and Unicornia: A Magical Birthday and avid readers of the series will love this latest edition. Each book comes with colour coordinated illustrations and this time just like the cover the colour is purple throughout. The drawings are very cute and have an Anime style to them.
Children who want a cosy, magical read will adore this series and this latest book. Claudia is such a wonderful young girl and Unicornia is such a phenomenal place that I’m sure every young reader would love to visit. Now bring on book four which is due to be released in June.
Could this book be any sweeter? I think not! Every delicious purple page will satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth. Everything is magical about this book from the adorable characters to Unicornia, the most magical place EVER to having good friends is the best thing in life all the to the added delight of a Magical Cup Cake recipe in the back! The illustrations are so hip and I love the expressions, especially captured in the eyes of each bright eyed character, even the stick of magical butter bouncing across the floor. So cute! The simple black, purple and white palette is great visually and adds an extra special element to the story. Add an apron, rolling pin and a few more baking needs and you have the perfect gift for a budding baking artist!
Book #4 in this series. Her friends convince Claudia to enter the cupcake contest as part of the annual birthday celebration. She loves to bake so this should have been easy. However, she learned that working with magical ingredients is very different from regular baking. She asks a classmate, Sasha, to work with her. The two move through the stages of a typical group project and finally work together to create an amazing cupcake. Readers will love the magical environment and getting to ride along on unicorns with the friends. Mid to upper elementary level.
This is a sweet little story, great for early readers in grade 1-3. For fans of baking, friendship stories, magic, and unicorns will enjoy this one!
Great level of reading, great text to illustration ratio, and a cute series to follow along with.
My one complaint, is often my students are put off by books that have illustrations that aren't full colour. The illustrations in this one are shades of purple- and these types of drawings can be a tough sell for my readers.
This is book 3 in this super cute, magic/unicorn obsessed series that my 6 year old is enjoying. She loves the illustrations throughout. This was a great story about teamwork and friendship. 3.5⭐️
I really liked it because it had cupcakes and treats The twist was amazing! The characters were great, the story was very fun and I could not stop reading the book.
