* My review is for A Crimson Fate by CM Haines. I received an ARC from the author and I'm giving my honest review. *
Brinley Evnar, Crown Princess of Reinous and future High Sorceress, has lived her life hating the DeLoup (wolf shifters). They've taken everything from her, including her family. Now she's imprisoned by those she hates the most, but Brinley won't give up without a fight, even though she's not able to access her magic yet.
Gabriel Ferway is the Alpha of the Crimson Pack and determined to save the people he loves from a curse. He's convinced that Brinley's the key, but how will he persuade her to help?
This is a steamy retelling of The Beauty and the Beast and for sure one of the best books I've read this year! Haines had me invested in the characters from the beginning, and although I love most retellings, The Beauty and the Beast is a favorite! The main characters are well developed and grow throughout the book, and we get both Brinley's and Gabriel's POV's. The side characters might be a bit one-dimensional, but I fell in love with most of them anyway, and I expect they will get more substance when they get their own book later on in the series.
Secrets are revealed in intervals and that makes me want to keep on reading to know more. At the same time I didn't want the book to end, and I tried to draw it out, even though I had a deadline (sorry about that!). It's not often I feel like starting over once I finished a book, but this is one of those moments! Unfortunatly there's too many other books for me to read, so I hope Haines won't keep me waiting too long for the next book, where we will learn more about Gabriel's little sister Rose and his beta Paxton!
I've read multiple authors on these anthology. But I do love R.L Perez her story. She always hold me captive in her books. So I love her worldbuilding, character building. And I loved this story. ❤️
This anthology has full-length books! Not the short read novellas but actual full stories with legit developed characters and a ton of world building. You’re going to love it. And if you want to hit a reading goal for cheap, this is the way to do it. It’s only .99 for the next few days. Then it goes to 9.99. And that’s for 20 books!
I'm reviewing this book as a whole. I've read all the stories, rated them, and averaged them out. There are some clear favorites and some that left me unsatisfied and the rating reflected that. However, overall, I loved these stories. They were exciting, introduced me to new authors and series, and kept me entertained. I definitely recommend Serpent and Flame by R.L Perez as that one was my favorite out of all the stories. It deserves a special mention.
This is an amazing collection of romantasy novels. There were almost 30 books in this and I got it only for 99 cents, it's an amazing deal.
If you're reading this way in the future from October 2023, the deal might be gone. If you're way, way in the future the entire collection might be gone.
But if you're in the present, get this now. It'll keep you busy while you wait for Iron Flame to release :))
- My reviews are for “Fairies of Death” by Victoria Liiv and “A Crimson Fate” by C.M. Haines.
“Fairies of Death” was the first thing I’ve read by Victoria Liiv, and I have to say that it was definitely a good read! The two POV characters are Isay, who becomes the princess of the death fae once her mother marries their king, and Karmuth, one of the warriors who have been tasked with guarding her. I thought the different types of fae and their abilities were both interesting and unique, and it was part of what drew me in right away. Isay and Karmuth were both likable characters, and I really enjoyed the banter between them. Isay’s character development was very well-written, and I loved how confident she was by the end. Karmuth was incredibly swoony, and I loved how protective he was of Isay. All in all, this was a great story!!!
“A Crimson Fate” is a spicy Beauty and the Beast retelling by C.M. Haines, and I thought it was absolutely amazing. Gabriel and Brinley’s love story was beautifully written, and I really enjoyed reading about them. Gabriel had a lot on his shoulders, but I really think he always tried to do what was best for his pack and the people he cared about. He’s fiercely loyal and incredibly kindhearted, which made him an extremely likable character. And Brinley! In the beginning, I wanted to be mad at her for the way she treated the wolves, but she had been through a lot of trauma and I knew she needed to work through it - which luckily she did. I thought Brinley was strong, confident, and sassy, all great personality traits that made her fun to read about. I also truly enjoyed all the interactions involving Paxton, Gabriel’s beta and best friend, and Rosalyn, Gabriel’s younger sister. No spoilers, but I cannot wait for the next book in this series!!!
I have not read this whole anthology, just Serpent & Flame, so I will only review that one story. I loved it. I love a fierce woman who owns her power and that’s exactly what you get with Marina. And it doesn’t hurt to have a sexy death god as well. Lol. I really enjoyed the storyline and the relationships between the characters. If you like stories with gods/godesses, revenge, epic journeys, magic, and shifters…I definitely recommend this.
I can only review Awakening The Queen Of The Damned from Jennifer Marcia as I received it as an ARC.
My first read of the author and I love the story, loads of smut, tension and fated mates yet an aspect of enemies to lovers.. What's not to love... Paranormal / Fantasy is another + in my books.
Want to read more, and excited to see where this story is going.
Summary : Aliyah Devon had never felt quite right. There had always been a voice in her dreams whispering for her to "wake up." For the past twenty-six years, she had felt like a dream walker in her own life until suddenly he appeared, and the world seemed to crash into blinding color and scorching heat.
Isaiah Donovan had been searching for his destined mate since she perished in war thousands of years ago. She was the leader of their people and the most powerful being of them all. Now, she is fated to be a hunter trapped in human form until their bond can release her.
The human world is perishing, and Isaiah must find her and convince her that not only do Angels and Demons exist, and she is quite literally the queen of the damned, but that they are fated mates. She must bond with him and shed her human form before humanity is snuffed out by the very beings humans are taught to worship.
Tropes: Angels and Demons, fated mates, enemies to Lovers, slow burn,
This book was amazing ride. I loved the development of isay character. I found the death fairies so intriguing. It’s quick fantasy read and easy to follow. With lots of twists and turns. If that is up your alley this is the book for you!
I only read Finding the Dhampir, but it was an amazing book, i love their spin and the relationship with the characters. Kenrid is definitely my favorite!
I've only read Moon Trials but I loved it! If you like lots action and twists and good world building then you will want to check it out. Love all of her books.
I did not read the whole anthology just finding the last dhampir.
This book was a great read, it was fast-paced and interesting enough to keep me wanting more. I liked the fact that there were lots of different supernaturals in the book and I’m looking forward to what happens next.
This author weaves the written world into a kaleidoscope for the mind. Her narrative is so descriptive you feel the moss under your feet, and smell the forest surrounding you. You are transported, as if by magic, from place to place through her carefully constructed world. If you need an escape, you will find it here.
This paranormal fantasy romance anthology mix has 29 novels spread across 2 eBooks.
The few I have read had been really interesting, fresh, and fun, so I definitely recommend. ------------ Special mention: Faires Of Death by Victoria Liiv
This book was the reason I purchased this anthology. I was given an ARC of her book, which was about a fairy who couldn't be touched but eventually fell in love with her bodyguard. It was written beautifully and flowed well. I devoured it, then purchased the entire anthology.
- Enemies to lovers - Fated mates - Forced proximity - Age gap - Touch her, and you’ll die - If he touches her, she’ll die
Tropes: ♡ Instalove ♡ He falls first ♡ Enemies to lovers
THIS REVIEW IS BASED OFF THE ARC UNFINISHED PROOF VERSION OF THIS BOOK. I received a free copy of Fairies of Death from the boxset and my review is only about that one book…
I still remember seeing ‘Fairies of Death’ as an ARC title and immediately went DEATH FAIRIES - FAIRIES WHO LIKE DEATH?!!! And snatched it up with my little raccoon hands.
And I wasn’t disappointed! It was a real treat with a unique take on fae, their powers, and their love lives. The world itself has a lot of interesting elements to it, including its own unique creatures that I’d love a bestiary on! The author does a great job of detailing the world's dynamics, and the realms relationships with one another. The power/magic system of ecos is simple and straightforward, and never confused me despite the fact it is an original concept. I fell absolutely in love with it, and how it ended up really framing the main character’s relationship with one another. As well as the ecos power simultaneously representing each character’s individual characteristics.
The story is enjoyable, and the writing is compelling. I got to 80% so fast! I quite literally wanted to devour the world and every interesting thing in it. It also helped that ecos itself was a concept I was incredibly intrigued with, and felt that I HAD to know how it worked. I also adored the back and forth between Isay and Karmuth, it was witty and fun - and Isay can 100% hold her own against ANYONE. With her sharp tongue, or remarkable powers. It made it incredibly fun and adventurous, and you always feel when reading like something new and exciting is just around the bend.
However, I did have some gripe. The fantasy characters SUDDENLY having cars and motorcycles turned me off, and I ended up kinda just removing that part from my brain and thought it added nothing to the story. In this aspect, it just was not explained well enough to give the sudden ‘there’s a portal to the human world’ a pass. It felt out of the blue, even if humans had been mentioned beforehand. Also, as someone who has lived in LA for most of my life - why would you come HERE. GIRL POOR ISAY COULD’VE GOTTEN MUGGED.
Because it was so instalovey, it threw off the pacing and kept me from getting too invested. You already knew early on the characters were WAY too attracted to each other, so there wasn’t much left to play out between the two - you always knew how it was going to end. Especially with the sheer lengths Karmuth would go for her - which is something other readers may really enjoy.
On the topic of the main characters, let's get into them. Isay (FMC) was hard for me to like. She is caring and naive, and as selfless as she is - she often comes off as thoughtless and spoiled. She often acts before she thinks, and whenever her actions affect anyone else negatively - she never deals with any consequences. A maid she gets killed through NOT LISTENING PER USUAL, she makes no effort to defend, and only thinks about her like twice afterwards. Never learning her lesson from the experience of quite literally getting someone executed through her own hubris. She then does it AGAIN, for the rest of the book - which would not have bothered me like it did, if character development had been shown. Isay is also incredibly powerful and has the coolest ecos abilities, which I would’ve loved to see Isay discover more on her own and let the romance go on the backburner for a little bit as she discovered herself. However, she is a very young fae - so some of this would have made sense in terms of the story
Karmuth (MMC) was smooth asf, and very well written - he was a lot more likable than Isay and very thoughtful. He always had a sense of duty, and was well calculated in ALL of his decisions - perfectly balancing out Isay’s naivety. However, he made way too many excuses and cleaned up too many of her messes. Which is something I feel like a well practiced, logical, elite soldier would struggle to justify.
I feel like making this into a series would be the right thing to do, just so more exposition can be provided to the ending and some elements that went unexplained. Overall, I feel like this would have benefitted from having only Isay’s POV and a lot of character development on Isay’s end - as she really felt like the weakest link. However, this did not mean I disliked the story at all. I BINGED this thing, and had over 100 notes of things I enjoyed, found cute, or found spicy. I think it really delivered and most of my gripe just came from me not liking some of the tropes other readers would greatly enjoy.
Read if you like: ✔ The Cruel Prince ✔ Dark and Beastly Fae ✔ Spicy dark fantasies ✔ Unique Magic Systems
A fabulous anthology featuring several magical stories centered around a mystical world full of amazing creatures, characters, settings and of course fated love and lots of steamy heat and romance!
Bound to the Fae by K Rose is one of those stories and was an epic fantasy romance with a nice Juliet and Romero twist that will keep you enthralled till the very end! Rose did an amazing job at setting the plot and creating a descriptive immersive world that the reader could fall into and characters that you instantly fall in love with. If you’re a fan of fated mate MFM fantasy romances featuring insta-forbidden love—then read on!
This is the story of a princess on a quest to save her kingdom, the Enchanted Forest and the sexy enchanting Prince Galen—who just happens to be at odds with her family and opposes the tyranny of the Fae High Court. Can these two work out their difference and stay together despite all the odds stacked against them and all the secrets and conspiracies working to keep them apart..,and possibly destroy their kingdoms and their love? This is a story of love, loyalty, coming together against all odds, betrayal, sacrifice, trust with several twists along the way to keep you guessing.
And let’s not forget Moon Trials by Lissa Bolts !! Literally I am obsessed with this series and I need more, more, more!!! Lissa has truly done it again with this spin off series from the Stones & Curses series! I thought she couldn’t top her Jinn story, but with this shifter storyline she totally blew it out of the water! From the first teaser I had of jessa I knew her story would be one I would devour and after this one, I can see that it was true! I absolutely love Jessa, her determination, her strength, the level of care she has for others—everything that makes her who she is is utter perfection. But having her dropped into the middle of the trials, with all the extra drama, adventures, deceit and monsters and seeing her kick butt time after time? I definitely need more! is a mastermind at creating characters and fabulous worldbuilding, and this one is no different. I love the suspense, the hinted at secrets and of course all the drama and I can’t wait for the next book because I’m truly hoping it’s going where I think it is! Milo who? ;)
Overall if you love romances centered around opposing forces and finding love with the “enemy” and fighting for it against all odds, then this is the one for you! With tons of romance, spicy heat, mystical creatures and dragons, fierce battles, nonstop action and magic this is a definite must read for a fantasy romance fan.
I just want to first mention that I only read Fairies of Death by Victoria Liiv from the boxset, which is a four-star read for me. There are spoilers in the third paragraph!
I didn't know what to expect with this story, but it really brought me out of a reading slump I've been in. It is fast-paced slow-burn with action, twists, and nice world-building threaded together with a cast of characters that do not bleed together, which is big for me since it tends to happen with more side characters. Needless to say, Isay (FMC) and Karmuth (MMC) both have flaws and strengths in all the right places, and their love is unmatched. The way that Karmuth loves Isay so unapologetically no matter the situation...I love it! When it comes to spice, I would say that it's pretty low, but that doesn't take away from the love and affection between Isay and Karmuth.
I do have some qualms. The story mentions Isay never traveling to Earth, so I assume this occurs on another planet. How in the world did they teleport to LA?! It happened at least three times, and I have no idea how the car entered a portal. Where did this portal come from? Is it on the GPS? Can regular people on Earth just enter it? That would also explain how they have Audis and an Alfa Romeo in Vindica.
I found the ending to be confusing when the meeting occurred, but this could just be a me thing. I was confused with the wide range of characters thrown at us in such a short amount of time, and I had to go back to see who was who, which took me out of the story a little. In addition, the result of the meeting happened too easily and left everything in an odd place. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS END OF SPOILERS
I also really enjoyed the wonderous aura of the story, and I really wanted to see more from the world and side characters (Hiko, Regar, and Sin), especially at the end! Despite my qualms, I really enjoyed the book and look forward to the author's future work!
I have only read one book in this anthology so far entitled Serpent & Flame by R.L. Perez but I throughly enjoyed it!
It’s about another prince of hell whose two other brothers have stories about them in her Ivy & Bone series.
Rom escapes from hell for a night of passion with a fire witch who lives with a coven of water witches being adopted by one when she found alone in the forest as a toddler. Unfortunately the goddess of the river curses both of them because of who and what Marina is and the next day she finds her adoptive mother and the whole coven all turned to stone! Told she can never love another or get close to another person again because if she does they’ll turn into stone as well, Marina leads a lonely existence for 50 years until Rom comes back into her life. He tries to tell her he couldn’t escape from hell to find her again because of the curse on him as well. She is befriended by a coven of fire witches and with Rom they set out to rescue those taken by the river goddess. There are many exciting journeys contained herein but one changes Marina’s life forever as the fire goddess appears to her and grants her more of her powers and also the powers of Medusa whose blood runs in her veins.
An exciting climax awaits them all as they face off against none other than the god of the sea- Neptune!
I enjoyed this story and I’m sure the other books in this anthology are just as good and page turners as this one was. Therefore I am pleased to recommend this anthology to all those who enjoy fantasy!
True love doesn’t run smooth for Marina and Rom due to the curse on them but perhaps if they combine their powers and unite together they just might break that curse from so long ago!
Reviews For Serpent And Flame By R.L. Perez As Well As Bound To The Fae By K. Rose
Serpent And Flame By R.L. Perez
This story is a fantastic read. When the story first started you see how loving and caring Marina is with what she going through. It makes you sad at how she is treated. I loved the retelling of Medusa, especially since there really are any that I have come across. It has beautiful chemistry between the characters. The story drew me in and didn’t let go. It has heartache and pain that is felt right alongside this amazing story. This story will definitely pull you in. It was beautifully written and developed. This is absolutely a must read.
Bound To The Fae By K. Rose
This story is beautiful and tragic to a degree. We have a love that should be celebrated but not everyone feels the same way. Radi, Galen, and Erec have to deal with betrayal, and disappointment, lies and tribulations. The story is a fantastic one that has so much drama, suspense and mystery. It had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. It is beautifully written and developed. I loved the interactions between the characters and how well their emotions are felt throughout the story. K. Rose always delivers a story that is one that will have you so deeply invested into the characters and what is happening to them. This one is no different. It is a stunning story that is absolutely a must read.
An enjoyable anthology with wall-to-wall heat level novels
This is a review of 1. Moon Trials by Lissa Bolts and 2. Poisoned Darkness by Susan Stradiotto & S.Johnson only - for the moment. So many of my fave bestselling authors are in this set, so I’ll keep reading and adding to the review as I go along.
5/5⭐️Moon Trials by Lissa Bolts - no spice, all sweet & clean
If you loved Bolts’ sassy Nora in her Stones & Curses series, you’ll love the adventures of her bestie shifter Jessa. In her early 20s, Jessa finds out she’s a wolf shifter and that her friend and one-time heartthrob Milo is the alpha of the pack she is supposed to join. Guess what, she doesn’t join and manages to drop down on the rung ladder on account of starting a war with vamps. Completely unintentionally, of course. What does she know about being a wolf? Or being forced to participate in the Moon Trials to be the alphaest of them all. An actioney fast-paced enjoyable read that is a mashup of Hunger Games (but with mythical beasties) meets Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum meets Twilight (but with the focus on the shifters). Loved the sizzles and tender moments between Jessa & Milo, but quite possibly loved the lethal Torrin even more and can’t wait to see how his help turns out and whether Jessa becomes what we all think she’s destined to be.
Recommended for lovers of action-adventure, strong, independent & sassy heroines, cinnamon roll heroes, trial games for were leadership and clean, slow-burn romantasy.
4.5/5⭐️ Poisoned Darkness by Susan Stradiotto & S.Johson - 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ for heat
The duo did it again! A highly enjoyable dark read with 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ for heat. I loved the first book - Fight for Darkness - these two USA Today bestselling authors co-wrote in Realm of Darkness and this spin-off is just as good. Spicy from the get-go (intro scene is hot!), so if you’re a fan of clean&sweet, this isn’t up your alley. It’s been a years since I read the first book, so Tierney & Torin didn’t ring a bell at fiest. Their story turned out similar to Malin & Kane’s from Fight for Darkness - running from self feeling inadequate and redemption found in the mate. Raises great questions - how do we know we’re with someone we should be with, why is it the woman who is expected to hold things together, can men admit they can be damsels in distress sometimes (but going all wrong about it, of course) and best of all - does a man really need to be deified to man up or not. An enjoyable read, but I liked the action and darkness in the first book more; this one was more relationship drama.
Recommended for lovers of dark & spicy witchy portal romanfantasy.
I've only read Amarok from this set of stories and couldn't put it down.
A good paced story, which does jump occasionally but the story flows and makes sense. Amarok is the 4th in a series but the characters from the previous stories are all involved in this and their stories are explained.
Tillie is fed up of being undervalued in the library where she works so leaves and manages to get a property to live in and set up her own bookshop in. After getting a rare book she's driving back late and seeing a white figure in the road she swerves and crashes into a tree. Jonas is a werewolf/vampire hybrid who prefers the nighttime. On spotting a car crashing on the edge of his property he knows he has to help and on seeing Tillie is delighted to feel the howl of his wolf, "mate".
But once he's saved her he knows that she'll never be safe from the evil he's working to escape and the only thing he can do to truly save her is to reject her. Can they find a way to be together?
A paranormal romance with fast paced action, good vs evil, great chemistry between the characters, twists and a fantastic ending.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book Bound to the Fae is about two kingdoms the Enchanted Forest and the Forbidden Mountains. The Enchanted Forest was on the brink of ruin. The Enchanted Forest has been plagued by an evil that they could not eradicate it as it was an unseen danger. Raidi, the princess of the Enchanted Forest went to the Forbidden Mountains to ask for help from Prince Galen. When she meet Prince Galen he refused to help her, She kepts asking and finally he made a deal with her, if she would help him fight the High Fae court and help restore peace. He would help her with the Enchanted Forest problem. Read how Prince Galen, his twin brother Erec and Princess Raidi, had to deal with betrayal, convincing people to fight with them, Imprisonment and so much more. Read to see how they worked together to solve all the issues. The wordsmith captures you with the seduction of her word usage and just makes you feel and understand all their moments of love in such a way that is beautiful with out it being crass. The authors words make feel their physical tiredness. It was a joy to read this story just to see her usage of the English language.
4.5 ⭐ Fairies of Death Are you a fan of Enemies to lovers, Fated mates, Forced proximity, and Age gap, touch her, and you’ll die, If he touches her she’ll die. And do you also love a very, very good fantasy book? If so, you absolutely can't miss this book! The book has a fast pace, and you will be glued to the pages throughout the entire story. While there aren't many descriptions of the setting, you won't miss them because the story is truly captivating. Numerous plot twists will keep you holding your breath until the end. I found the ending a bit rushed, but I can't wait for the sequel to see how the story continues! In a world where passion ignites and danger lurks at every turn, this book is a spellbinding journey that will leave you yearning for more. Don't miss out on this captivating fantasy tale filled with intense romance, thrilling twists, and a story that will stay with you long after you've turned the final page.
I received this book as an ARC (Advanced Reader's Copy), and I'm delighted to share my honest thoughts about it.
The novel Fairies of Death by Victoria Liiv is a well-written fantasy love story about the titular characters Isay and Karmuth. The interplay between the two characters and the world in which they live is exceptionally broken up into alternating chapters of perspective. The characters have well-established arcs and grow with the reader throughout the journey. Their burgeoning love, while easily foreseen by the reader, is no less impactful to the story as a whole.
The plot is one of destined love brought about despite internal turmoil and extremely detrimental external factors. They should not be together. Nearly every facet of their lives bemoans this upon them constantly throughout the novel.
The few critiques I read were simply the pacing of the novel being slightly off and that the supporting characters were a bit rigid for my personal tastes. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Fairies of Death and look forward to further stories about Isay and Karmuth.
Realm of Midnight is a Limited-Edition Fantasy and Paranormal Collection, that features some of my favourite writers for this fantastically, unique and colourful genre. Each book brings a different journey and new faces to either love or love to hate. I've included a review on just one of these awesome books. This collection is a keeper.
Bound to the Fae by K Rose:
Bound to the Fae by K Rose is a serious jaunt into another world. Reading this book really felt like being transported into another universe, thanks to the writing skills of this very talented writer. The plot draws you in and the characters are fairly well defined. I do wish that the writer continues to write from this universe so that we may be able to glimpse more of not only these specific characters, but also other potential stories that would thrive in this place.
Now honestly I wasn’t sure what to rate this since I only read Serpent and Flame by R.L Perez but her story just got better and better I had to give it 5 stars. In the beginning I didn’t feel a connection between Marina and Rom but as time went on I think he became my favorite brother. I loved all of the details we’re given with each battle and that they each felt like a new one and not a repeat. I was glad to see Marina grow as a character, she was getting in her own way and watching her finally free her magic just made me happy. I think my favorite part was near the end when their magic came together, it was truly powerful. I recommend the book, even if it’s just to check out this one story but with how good it was I do want to read the others.
A retelling of Medusa and how she was cursed to walk alone without love and companionship. This story is her journey on a quest for revenge against the goddess who cursed her as well as the god who is responsible for her being cursed in the first place.
Bound to the Fae - K. Rose
The story how forbidden love served as a catalyst in uniting kingdoms and eradicating the evil monarch that has caused division among the inhabitants in both kingdoms. This is a MFM romance
Fairies of Death - Victoria Liiv
Story of love, acceptance and finding your place in a world where you don't fit in. This story has magic, forbidden love, betrayal, action and danger.
This is the first book I have read from this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Perez does an immaculate job building a world that is suspenseful and alluring, packed full of fantasy and mythology. In this story you get Element Witches, focusing on water and fire elements, Gods, Goddesses and Gorgons. I had a love hate relationship with the female main character, Marina, similar to the love hate relationship that Marina had for herself throughout the story. My dark side loved the Death God from the first time we met him all the way to the end. I really enjoyed their interactions with each other. I am looking forward to reading more of the stories in this anthology, and definitely more from R. L. Perez!
I was given the opportunity to read and review ‘A Crimson Fate’ written by CM Haines.
Haines wastes no time in bringing the main characters into light and sending the imagination of the reader into a world where DeLoupes and Sorcerer’s collide. Between the pages I find myself lost in the story and not wanting to come up for air.
Brinley’s struggle to find herself, working through grief and anger the character evolves before our eyes. While those around her remain steadfast in their hope that she’ll find what she needs to save them all from the curses that plague their community. The evolution of all the supporting characters adds a rich and unexpected depth to Haines ‘A Crimson Fate’.
