FREAK.
Earth's first Homo Sapiens Superior, Jolene Quatermain, has an IQ that goes way beyond anyone elses. Known as "Freak" by the world, she quickly realises two things. Firstly, she can see that the human race is galloping out of control as governments spend money thay do not have to convince their votors everything is under control. Secondly, populations feel betrayed by their governments, leading to right-wing extremists forming new political parties. It will lead to a revival of extremist groups, exactly as happened a century earlier in Spain, Italy, Germany, and other, smaller countries. But this time it will be worldwide, because a century earlier Earth's population was only a quarter of its present one. This time round, the whole planet will be involved.
Freak knows she has a small window before the feeble efforts by the various governments, too scared to warn their votors of the approaching financial (and then social) disaster, and too insulated by their own lives to be able to provide leadership. She also realises there is a simple solution without a single person having to die to achieve it.Unfortunetly, there is probably no human that would endorce it. Worse, Freak's own body and brain is beginning to deteriorate at an increasing rate due to a glitch in her slightly different biology. Using her mammoth intelect, Jolene secretly initiates the solution, knowing it will take three months to become noticable, and makes a video message to be played after her death, explaining the reason she initialed her planet-wide plan..
But unknown to her, Emmy, her daughter, is also a Sapiens Superior, and has guessed her mother's plan. Emmy is also incensed by it, knowing she will be the one who will have to make it work when her mother is incapacitated. And it will be Emmy who will introduce a whole new dimension when she takes over at very short notice.
