Dad, Help Me Please
The evening of 2 November 1952 started innocently enough when 19-year-old Derek Bentley shouted 'Shan't be long Mum' as he went off to meet his friend Christopher Craig. But it ended in tragedy with both Derek and Christopher under arrest for the murder of PC Miles.

A thorough examination, benefitting from the passage of time and changes both in legal practices and social attitudes, to what is widely viewed as one of the British legal system's greatest miscarriages of justice. By the end one can only be left with the conviction that Derek Bentley was hanged as a 'discouragement' to society.
