Written around 2002 when computers played a less significant role and things like CFDs were unheard of this book still has merit in putting one on the right path for considering some of the issues involved in becoming a successful (systematic) trader.

Understandably there is also some repetition and fluff and regretfully important subjects such as statistical techniques for back testing, how to choose a market, how to optimise and re-optimise strategies or even how to manage the portfolio as a whole are lacking in their entirety.

Still, it is not a bad first book on the subject plus the author appears to be quite candid and forthright in his analysis of many a topic.
