I read the Finnish translation.
This book is about ways of helping and understanding your back pain, and preventing it with the exercises presented here, plus having a good posture whatever you’re doing. The book is in these parts:
- how one’s back works, reasons for having pain
- managing pain: relaxation, breathing, rest position (for those in pain, or bedrest)
- preventing pain in certain sports, and how to have the right posture whatever you’re doing
- some guidance before starting exercises (incl. warnings for those who are pregnant, or with some illnesses or back injuries/pains, which lists some movements that may be risky), list of tools needed.
- the exercise movements (number of repeats/staying in a position time, with different levels of hardness and/or movement variations in some), warm-ups and cool-down movements.
- exercise programs with different levels of hardness, some short programs, and one for pregnant women.
- short word explanation list.

This book is very plain but tells well what a reader might need to know, and the exercises are easy to follow – you don’t need much tools to do them, just an exercise mat, very light weights, a pillow, a smallish lightweight back, and an exercise ball. The meditation exercises are easy too, and I might use some of them also. A slim book, tells you the basics, and is worth it.
