This book was absolutely beautiful. I picked up this book at a book library in the park not knowing anything about the author but thought hey why not give it a read. The two characters I really did love Celina and Marcus their weird growing friendship brought their love together. Their love was a slow burn, as she didn’t believe after her precious relationship that she could ever find love again. She didn’t believe god wanted her to be happy until she met her good friend Verna. Verna showed and opened Celia’s eyes to the love and caring of god which was so incredible. I truly related to this book in many ways, it spoke to me and really made me see how our lives and family are so important. In the book Marcus talked about his Pop’s and how when he died he would be there through everything and love him always and forever. I was in tears from that as I lost my grandmother back in December, those words were kinda how my grandma told me that she would love me and be there for me even when she passed. This book really was a wonderful read, I loved every bit of it. The author did a wonderful job with this book go read it please, it will make you cry, laugh and enjoy ☺️

When beautiful Celia Randall travels to eastern California for a short-term photography assignment, she unexpectedly locks horns-and falls in love-with the editor of the award-winning High Sierra magazine, Marcus Stratton. Yet, broken by recent losses in her own life, Celia hides from intimacy with anyone-including the One who loves her most of all-until tragic circumstances bring her face to face with a God whose love is even greater than that of the man who risks his life for her...high in the Sierra.

I learned about John Muir from this book. Handy information from a cheesy romance.

Another sweet Shari MacDonald romance. Nice characters with both faults and strengths and a good storyline.

Did not care for the heroine. Found her to be intensely annoying.
