Many Southern USA children are still named John Wesley, including the criminal John Wesley Hardin unfortunately. What an impact John Wesley had bringing the Methodist sect to America, especially in the South.

This is a novelized biography of Susanna, mother to famous Christians John and Charles Wesley. Suitable for younger readers, it seemed to soften some of the harder aspects of life at that time, while still being an honest account.

This book details, in a story-like way, the life of Susanna Annesley Wesley and her family.

Susasnna is an extraordinary child, years ahead academically, but she rejects the belief of salvation by grace and instead sides with working for salvation. Her husband, like her, joins the Anglican church, but he believes in grace and argues for the inward witness of the Holy Spirit. Their life togeter is not easy--grief and trials abound--but they are resolute, unfaltering in following Christ. Their children go various directions, but we see the beginning of revival, as Charles and John Wesley preach with new vigor and faith/assurance that they never had before.

Great inspirational story of Susanna Wesley...mother of 19 children in Britian in the 17th century. She was the mother of John Wesley...who helped in the great revival of that time.
