Sunny begged her parents for a cat. Her dad said ‘No cat-and that’s that!’

There was a storm that night and she thought she could hear something over the rain on the roof.
Could it be a kitty? She went to the front door and peeked out.

What could she do? She’d be in trouble if she bought it in. It looked up at her. She was soaking wet. Sunny picked her up, cuddled her, and then dried her.

Would her dad be angry? Her brother's dog was enough.

Sunny called the kitten rainy. Now, mum said they had Sunny and Rainy days.
