This was one of those short stories that had me literally screaming out when it was over. I wanted to kick things, I wanted to email the author and ask her “Why, why did you not give us a full book on this story?” It had the potential to have a literally full paced novel.
It wasn’t that it was just sexy. Ok, so it was a big factor in my like of this book. However, the characters were so super appealing. I love the idea of ‘phantoms’, it is not used enough. It was used by Kresley Cole and though it was not one of my favorite of her IAD books, it was the most unique of all of her books in the series. It was off the beaten path.
For me I see a short, and I’m like “Ok, does this make me laugh, does this give me chills, does this make me want a bigger story, and do I even care about the characters?” I said yes to each of these. So, get this, the first sexual encounter, he is ‘invisible’, imagine if you will being touched by something you can’t see, then think about the same scenario that you are blindfolded and being touched. It really is no different. It is using everything else to experience passion. I licked my lips and kept reading. I read it quick, took me about 30 minutes. But I really honestly liked it, no wait, I loved it. I loved it more than I have liked some full length erotica books.
See, I’m a ‘fantasy junkie’, the whole back story had the theme to Beauty and the Beast. Only instead of him being a beast, he is invisible. That is the theme, its fantasy, its sexy, I think the wordage was hot as all heck! I recommend it. If you need something to break things up a bit, then just go for it. Go into it wanting to have FUN! If you go in that way, it is going to be an enjoyable experience.

This book REALLY could have been better. No way anyone falls in love in ONE night. It would have been far more believable if they had spoken on the phone, emailed, written letters, ANYTHING prior to the night it all says it took place. Plus he RAPED her and she ENJOYED it? PLEASE, that is beyond unbelievable. The shortness of the story alone makes it lose one star. The lack of depth loses the other. Ms Savage, please improve in the future, you hold great potential if you slow down, take your time, and put in twice as much thought in the actual story as you do the sex scenes.

Free Kindle download. Supposed to be erotic short story. It was short. More silly than erotic. Yes, they had sex but he started out invisible and she was "overwhelmed" by his touch. Stupid premise.

I could not put it down. It was such a hook-you-in kind of story. I would love to see it as a full book though.
