From the author of the classic Pilgrim's Progress, this devotional book will give you deeper understanding and greater freedom of expression in your personal relationship with God. Bunyan's dying words on prayer will stir the heart of readers and are only a sampling of Bunyan's insight.
John Bunyan, a Christian writer and preacher, was born at Harrowden (one mile south-east of Bedford), in the Parish of Elstow, England. He wrote The Pilgrim's Progress, arguably the most famous published Christian allegory. In the Church of England he is remembered with a Lesser Festival on 30 August.
Written by the famous John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim's Progress, John had learned useful lessons about prayer while he was imprisoned in Bedford England for 12 years, during a time when it was illegal to preach the gospel. The book contains 31 short chapters which are in a 'devotional format', each explaining certain aspects of prayer. The general thrust of the book lies in the statement : you can neither pray nor pray aright, without the Holy Spirit leading and guiding you. Go give it a read! It's one of those books that will practically help you in ways you don't know, even though you may never remember the book itself.
Como orar en el espíritu es un libro para meditar, una tesis sobre la oración, sobre minimizar la humanidad para dar cabida a lo divino, un viaje de autoanálisis sobre la vida espiritual y la búsqueda de Dios.
John Bunyan delivers short, powerful reflections on what it means to pray. 31 reflections that could be read daily for a month. I’ll be returning to this one.
