After being dumped on Valentine's Day two years in a row, David Connor hates the holiday. Falling down the stairs due to a rose-wielding neighbor doesn't improve his attitude one bit. Fortunately another neighbor, sexy firefighter Chris, is there to help. David's already fallen in more ways than one, but will Chris do the same?

By day, I am a middle school teacher. I spend much of my time grading papers, filling out paperwork, and trying to get 6th- and 7th- graders to read.

When I am not at work, I can generally be found at the computer, dreaming up stories about men falling in love. When I have spare time (which is unfortunately not too often anymore!) I read romance of all kinds. Occasionally I pretend to do housework, but my hubby isn't fooled!

What a sweet short story!! I think the misunfortunate event that leads up to the two men to meet is, well, pretty cute (though it involves a broken arm). A perfect Valentine's story for me

A really nice short read. Much too short in fact. Chris (a firefighter) comes to David's (an officeworker) rescue when the latter falls down the stairs and breaks his wrist. On Valentine's day no less.

I liked the way that the two men carefully approach each other, David not daring to hope that Chris is gay and Chris insecure about 'just' being an ex-Army firefighter. They finally manage to communicate and are soon set for starting a relationship.

Cute sweet short about poor David breaking his arm on valentines day, but a sexy neighbor comes to the rescue.
I was just a bit surprised, since they only ever said 'Hello' in the hallway and borrowed coffee before, that they progressed so quickly.

A sweet short story about neighbors who didn't know the other was gay until an accident in the apartment building.

I just have to wonder, though. They've never really spent time together except an evening in which the MC take care of the other. And they declare themselves 'boyfriends' right away? What about compatibility in other aspects outside the sack?

Lots of fluff here of a lonely single who falls down the stairs on Valentines day and is rescued by a strapping Firefighter. He is nursed back to health and gets himself a new boyfriend for his troubles. Nothing new here, just a quick bedtime read.

David hates V-day with a passion having been dumped that day the last two years. He’s almost home when someone knocks him down the apartment stairs. He is rescued by his hot fire fighter neighbor Chris who takes him to the hospital. He has a broken wrist and various other injuries and is sent home. Chris moves in with him for the weekend to take care of him and David finds out Chris IS gay and even has a crush on him and they get freaky in the shower. Now seriously, on that many pain meds and with so many body injuries would someone BE in any condition to have sex 2 days after falling down stairs? Mmmm. I’m not so sure, but it was a cute story that if you just disregard that part (how come the men of m/m are such tough bastards and real life sick and injured men are big whiny babies?) I quite enjoyed the interplay between Chris and David.
