I love this series of Katherine McCloud mysteries. I also really enjoy historical fiction. This latest book in the series combines both genres beautifully. I looked forward to this book for a year and it did not disappoint.

Not my usual read, but I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. It is very history based talking about Native Americans and different journeys people went on, but surprisingly that part was my favorite in the book. The story is based in Michigan and it was fun relating to summer on Lake Michigan. I thought the story of the main character in present time was pretty boring, but as the dreams of the voice increased the whole story got more interesting. It was very heartwarming near the end of the book.

Another masterpiece by Barbara E. Bull. The characters are all so real. Katherine and Skye Blue are true gems. Family and friends make this book cozy, no matter what Katherine, her family, or friends are going through. Heart warming, heart felt, history, tragedy, and love, make this book a truly great read!!

I'm loving this series by Barbara Bull. I discovered them while visiting Cherry Point to see the lavender labyrinth. I get sucked into these books and read this one in a day. The story just sucks you in and this one included old history from the Puritan days.

Book #3. This may be my favorite so far in Barbara Bull's series. Well written and wonderful storyline. The shadow people manifest themselves and reveal the time of native Americans living around the Great Lakes.
