About the author

Triana Hohn is fifteen years old and lives in Alberta, Canada. Her first book, Tracked, was written when she was just eleven and was self-published in 2014. Triana has a passion for all things written, which was inspired by J.K Rowling, Rick Riordan, and a number of other magnificent authors. Now, her reading selection has grown significantly, her own book joining those of her idols on her treasured bookshelf. When not locked away in her room reading or writing, Triana spends her time playing basketball, soccer, badminton and riding her horse.

A fantastic book by a young author. I can't wait to see what else she writes. Written from the point of view of two characters this book is a fast, short read you don't want to put down.

River, a teen who grew up in an orphanage before she ran away, meets Ronan, a tracker. Despite their less than friendly meeting, they become friends, protecting each other as they run from threats in the forest. Despite the odds, the two not only survive, but find a place in the world where they are safe. (I can't tell you too much without spoiling it!)

This book has something for everyone. Action, adventure, magic, and even a little bit of romance.

My 13 year old daughter wrote this book when she was 11 years old. I thought the book was very well written and an excellent first novel. I was impressed with her character development, the visual imagery and the overall storyline. If you appreciate a great story that has many elements of fictional fantasy - you will definitely love this book!

What a great read written by a young teen! I was quickly and completely emersed in the world of River and Ronan. Triana, you've got a wonderful talent, I truly hope you write more in the future. As a teacher I am excited to share this book with my students.
