I wish I could figure out a way to rate this 4.5 stars. I give it 4 stars for the lay reader and 5 stars for the clinical psychotherapist reader.
It is excellent in that it is very thorough, highly, annotated, filled with free resources, is relatively easy to understand, filled with inspiring testimonies.
A plus and a minus is that it's highly repetitive and is a very long book (700 plus pages!). The repetition is good because it helps you learn the principles at a deeper level. That said, sometimes the repetition is a bit too much.
I read it for both a personal and professional perspective. If anyone is interested in learning more about inner healing and the Immanuel Approach, Face To Face Ministries (facetofaceministries.org) has amazing resources and trainings. They also have facilitators who do the Immanuel Approach. I'm currently working with Cathy Little for my own personal and professional experience, healing.
Cathy Little and Melinda have a weekly podcast on inner healing that's excellent! I listen for free on Spotify.
Thrivetoday.org also has some great resources and they work closely with the IA. They have a 30 day brain reset that I'm trying. It's pretty cool!
