This book has touched my soul and is in my spirit. First, let me frame my review with a bit of history with my encounter with Pastor Donna.
I met Pastor Donna in early 2023 at a prayer training intro session under the leadership of Pastor Ron Barnes. It was a small group of folks who had come out to the information session at The Word Place in Elk Grove, CA. Pastor Donna spoke, sharing of her calling and experience in South Africa. There was ample opportunity to interact afterwards so we talked briefly. When I shared with her my desire to visit Africa, she came just short of proclaiming I will but for different reasons.
She signed a copy of her book for me and I started to read it that very night. It would be a few months before I picked it back up again, where I finished it in that one sitting.
Her writen words to me, "Arise and shine", reaffirm for me that it is foolish to rely on my intellect or knowledge "to arrive at the destination ordained by the Lord" for my life. I am on my journey - one where i look back and see i have been on all my life - and I pray I clearly hear and obey His call. Amen.
God is moving and this book is a testimony to.that truth. I encourage you to pray and read it with an ear to your calling.
