Six months. That is all Jenny Dang had left in the military. One last field mission, then bye-bye Uncle Sam. Then, the god damn catch comes down command. NO CELL PHONES, which is almost sacrilegious for a soldier. Well, Jenny and her pals, Hamish and Hickman, and their squad leader, Sergeant Garcia are planning to make the best of it, settling down in the field for the night. Problem is, their battalion isn't alone. Something is there with them, and during the night destroys all their vehicles and radios, leaving them isolated. The nearest town is over seventy miles away, on foot. Surviving the slaughter and even killing one of the creatures that hunt them, Jenny Dang and the other survivors must work their way to civilization, the daylight is their only defense. But at night, more and more soldiers are fed upon and slaughtered for these creatures' amusement.
