In the aftermath of her best friend's death, Nikki was looking for a reason for life when she took a long drive through the state park. A song in the air led her through the mist and into a valley to delight the senses. All of them...
Gunnar and Geran didn't expect to find the naked beauty swimming in the bridal pool but they couldn't leave her to face the effects of the water all alone. So they claimed her as their mate and took their pleasure in helping her reach hers. Again and again and again...until every inch of her knew their touch.
Lacey Thorn spends her days in small town Indiana the proud mother of three. When she is not busy with one of them she can be found typing away on her computer keyboard or burying her nose in a good book. Like every woman she knows just how chaotic life can be and how appealing that great escape can look. So toss aside the stress and tension of the never ending to do list.
It went from paranormal mysticism to homophobia induced suicide to erotica, which I must say wasn't even erotic. I respect all authors for putting themselves out there, but this wasn't any good at all. Really not even ratable... Sorry!
1 1/2 stars (rounded up 2 stars, because I liked the prologue showcasing the forbidden love between Lynx, the leader of the were-people, and Serena, the elvin princess)
Nikki is upset and has no idea where she is going to go. Her best friend is dead and now she does not know what to do with herself. Then she hears a song and it leads her to a pool. It looks so inviting that she can't help but get in.
Gunnar and Gerard have no idea why they were sent to the pool. But when they seen the woman in the Bridal pool they couldn't help it. They wanted her as a mate and they couldn't leave her in the pain they knew she would be in when she got out.
I thought this was a great, steamy short. I like that even though it was a very short story even with all the sex they were still able to get some back stories and get to know a bit about each other. If you like a short steamy read I would definitely recommend this book. It was enough to make me want to read more of her books.

This story is much more than a simple romance. This is a story of loss and renewal. Out of the ashes of the past a new opportunity to love is created. Yet, this story is still more with secondary story of unfulfilled promises of love. Sad that I am to say it but while I had a good understanding of the heroine and the secondary characters I am lost in the understanding of the heroes. Ms Thorn developed the other characters in such a manner that the lack of development of the heroes was too obvious.
