"Wanting to BE LOVED so much... have you forgotten TO love?"
On some days you'll just want to fly through the pages of the book. On others you'll sit with it open in your lap, gaze at whatever scenery is in front of you, and re-evaluate your whole existence. Whether you go deep or stay in the shallow is always the reader's choice, Takahashi only offers you to hop on a scooter or simply look out the window and see, really see.
Let's live everyday, with enough room in our hearts to be touched by the sunset. The sunset, is always, right there.
What is necessary is not courage, but determination. Make a decision, and all the wheels will begin rolling.
For the future, don't bear the present. For the future, enjoy living the present.
Except for what's really important, we should throw away everything else.
Everything that is happening to me now in reality is a 'curriculum planned by God' Not to capture reality as 'positive' Not to capture reality as 'negative' Just pick up on what you're supposed to be learning now, and study it properly.
i read this book in one sitting at the dotoree kitchen in jeju island, korea. i highly recommend the book for travelers, philosphers and those interested in the world and our purpose. i found it relatable and reassuring within the themes of happiness in life. i found a relatable voice in the translated english version, and approach to life that appealed to me and sounded a lot like me at times. i would recommend the book for anyone who will take an hour or two to see nice photos and read nice stories about life on the road.
