L. Shannon, the author, came into existence in June of 2004. Shannon’s always been a reader and lover of books, but never considered writing until one night when she ran out of books to read… She began writing that very night as the first line of defense in a battle against insomnia. Her writing has steadily grown into a full-out war against reality. Her friends kindly say reality never stood a chance.

The L. Shannon novels have expanded to fill an entire world with paranormal wonders including Valàfrn werewolves, Tascryn demons, blood-sucking vampires, sexy selkies and many, many more. Be careful if you choose to enter Shannon’s hunk-filled world. You may never wish to leave…

In the time Shannon doesn’t spend writing, she’s kept busy by bothering her super supportive husband, showing dogs, gardening and watching over her Butterfly Koi ponds. You can learn more about her writing and her life at www.lshannon.net.

This is a good quick read. It's purely irrational fantasy in the sense that every character in hell, from Satan himself to all of his sons are sweet and kind, if mildly ill tempered. It's a highly comedic insta-love short story with a h.e.a. ending. An excellent time passer for fans of Supernatural and Paranormal Romance stories, as well as Rom-Coms.

A nice quick read. Lani falls into Hell through a portal. She thinks it's a dream. I like her reaction when she discovers she's really there. She learns about Hell and falls in love with a demon. This is the first time I've read a book by L. Shannon. I hope this is a prequel to a series.

As Head Librarian for the town of Demon, Arizona, it’s Lani Monroe’s duty to ensure that there are no gaping holes in the library booklist. Considering the town’s name, Lani finds it deplorable that there are no books on the supernatural; which is how she finds herself at an occult convention. Black magic and grabby warlocks don’t impress Lani, but when she falls on her way into the restroom and dreams up landing in Hell in the lap of a sexy demon prince, she’s definitely intrigued. There’s just one complication – Lani’s not dreaming.

Meryk, Prince of Pestilence has no idea how the beautiful human ended up in the middle of a meeting between him and his brothers, but he does know one thing: he’s not about to let her go. One thing’s for sure, however. The lovers are going to have a hell of a time getting Lani out of his world, especially if she wants to take Meryk with her.

Sensual demons, the Devil, and more books than you could ever dream of – Hotter than Hell has it all. L. Shannon has delivered a strong start to what is sure to be a fascinating series with this aptly-titled story.

I adored Lani. She’s intelligent, inquisitive, and doesn’t fall to pieces when she finds out her “dream” is, in fact, real. She’s willing to fight for love, as is the demon she falls in love with. Meryk is every woman’s erotic fantasy: smart, tender, sexy, and has a to-die-for body. Together these two burn up the sheets and introduce readers into the engaging world of Ms. Shannon’s Hellish Love Stories. I found Hotter than Hell to be a wonderful read and I cannot wait for the next installment of this intriguing series!
