Corruption, lust, and power linger inside the corridors and hidden rooms of Castle DeLesepps, but just who will reveal their truth?

Genre: Paranormal Romance Type: Book 3 of 3 from Forbidden Fables series POV: First person - multiple Rating:
As one of the most feared men in France, Domenico had the power to control everything except his heart. Loving Lilith cost him the only person he truly cared about. He believed Freya was the answer to his predicament. What he failed to anticipate was how easily love and loyalty could unravel everything he had carefully orchestrated.
I’m a little confused about this book. I expected it to focus on Dom and Lilith, but in the end, it was more about Freya’s happy ending and setting up for the author’s next series.
I knew of its beauty because there was never a day that passed when Lilith didn’t praise its girth, begged for it even.
When it comes to the writing, I had the same issue with the previous book. The connectivity and the timeline issues made it difficult to follow the story. Thankfully, the smut helped keep my attention.
The Secret of the Woods is a story of following one’s heart. It is the conclusion of the Forbidden Fables series.

Savvy hasn't failed to impress me with her writing. The Secret of the Woods is such an incredible story, and I love that this has a Goddess, witch, and vampires in it! The story has so many emotions flowing through it and is pretty unique, as well as sad, bittersweet mixed with happiness.
The timelines were a little hard for me to follow, but I understood the point of what happened during each scene/chapter.
What's Inside: •MM/FM/FFM/FF •Blood Play •Multi-POV & Multi-Timelines •Voyeurism •Sub/Dom

Sleeping Beauty retelling PNR Sub/dom MF/MM/FFM Dark historical romance And so much more!
At first the book was a lil slow for me. I hve come to find out about myself I need action first then some background. I'm an inpatient person😅😅
I seriously was not a fan of Charles in the last book and def wasn't in this one.
I dislike how he was complaining that he wanted her all to himself but yet he wanted another. He was such a hypocrite. How does that even make sense. His jealousy was such an annoying thing.
I loved how Savvy wrote Lilith. She was a fav of mine. But Freyja, she is seriously a goddess out the bedroom and in.
She is so strong and powerful and doesn't feel bad for being who she is.
The Secret of the Woods is book 3 in the Forbidden Fables Series and is a dark historical romance/Sleeping Beauty retelling. This book truly does have a little bit of everything: vampires, witches, a Goddess, religious skepticism, love, loss, and all the spice you could want, set in a gothic castle. Lilith was seriously just everything and I could not get enough of her and Domenico’s story. 4⭐️

A spicy twist on the Sleeping Beauty tale, this story is one of Savvy’s best creations yet! Not only do you embark on a journey of love and loss: you get to meet an ancient goddess and powerful vampires as well. Savvy explored the traditions and pitfalls of religion and the turmoil and guilt one may go through when defying or questioning such things. The love triangles are abundant but done brilliantly. I’m so proud of my friend and her dedication to her craft. Her writing has become more beautiful with each new story and I have found inspiration through her journey.
I suggest this book to anyone over 18 who enjoys full-blown fire in their romance with darkly twisted takes on their favorite childhood stories. 🔥
This is the third and final book to Savvy's Forbidden Fables series and it was fantastic ending! The Secret of the Woods was a dark world of men, monsters, vampires, goddesses, love, loss, lore and revenge. Savvy has created these characters that are so captivating, beautiful and haunting. Freya is my favorite character of this book. She really was unapologetic and bold, in a time and place that wasn't kind to women. I loved her POV. This book was more plot driven then spicy, but the smutty parts sooo freaking good. I highly recommend this series and thank you Savvy 🖤
Only Savvy can make Lilith fall in love with a vampire into an amazing story. We are back in the woods for some more creepy fun. Lilith and the vampire Domenico, who lives as a priest, fall in "lust," but she betrays and leaves him. His brother Dante becomes obsessed with getting revenge for his brother. So, for generations, the betrayals and revenge take their toll, resulting in Domenicos blood bond being put into a deep sleep by a curse. Another super spooky, extra steamy retelling.
Behold, the final book in the Forbidden Fables trilogy!
*If you have not read Witch of the Woods yet, then I suggest you do so now since this book picks up right after the events of book 2. Also read book 1...now. *
Freyja is captured and held by Domenico who hopes she is the key to waking up the girl who is dear to him. Charity is also held as well in the castle where Charles longs for her to stay with him instead of Freyja who she is trying to find throughout the story. Domenico does not know that it is not Freyja who can awaken the girl, but someone from his past...
This story was beyond captivating! The angst, the climax, and Savvy's take on the character Lilith was awe-mazing! I adore how this book ties into Chasing Celeste which is another great book by this author!
This was everything and so much more than I expected. It came completely full circle but also was absolutely captivating. The interconnection between each character was pure perfection. Of course the spicy scenes were amazing as always!!!
Such a good end to the series. Dark, twisted, angsty. I loved it. Also, LILITH. Just yeah. She's... I would do whatever she told me. And the Chasing Celeste references were such a surprise! Totally read this whole series.
This is book 3 in the Forbidden Fables Series. It’s a dark historical romance retelling of sleeping beauty. Domenico the most revered vampire in search of his love Lilith, an ancient goddess, after a curse has claimed her. This story contains loss, betrayal, revenge and amazing spice.
TW/tropes Murder, religious skepticism, kidnapping, blood play, asphyxiation, cursing, child abandonment, religious trauma, sexism, mild off page grooming, badass FMC, vampires masking as priests, MF/FFM/MM, SUB/dom/switch dynamics
Omg this was amazing!! With the way the second book in this series ended (the wicked witch of the woods) I went into this one with my hackles risen, completely ready to devour. And devour I did.
From beginning to end The Secret of the Woods was thrilling, bewitching, and utterly addicting. Savvy, again, fluidly brings forth compelling themes about women empowerment, power hungry men, and religious trauma in a world and plot that are equally as riveting. With vampires, goddesses, witches, spicy scenes that were 💯, and a vividly descriptive setting that created the perfect atmosphere, The Secret of the Woods easily made this series a favorite!!
