Mark has loved Yriel since the moment they met. Not a single heat has passed without sharing a bed with him, but mates they’ll never be. Yriel fears harm coming to Mark, and the judgment passed on omegas like him, omegas who refuse to submit for their alphas.
It’s been forty years since Heofan of Grey and their child left this world, and Shaw hasn’t found himself a mate, nor is he looking for one. He’s tired of looking for the one, but maybe there isn’t a male meant for him. Maybe there are two? The fates have blessed his living son’s home and brought peace to Aurelius and the grims. When a whisper catches Shaw’s ear, he can’t ignore the fates or his wolf. His mate is close.
Yriel Nicodemus has lived a long life jealously guarding secrets that would undo the very nature of vampiric society if revealed. All the peace he’s worked to achieve, the lives he’s saved, all would be undone if anyone were to find out. When the worst comes to pass, everyone will know what Yriel did, but with his mates and family at his back, the future looks clear.
Ohmygosh I got the ending I've wanted no holes left no questions left unanswered and a healing I didn't realize I needed. Lilo has such a beautiful voice in their writing each character has a back story and a future that is so well written. The book finishes this series and ties up all loose ends. Lots of love some action and closure.
I have mixed feelings about this book. So much I thought of giving it a 4 instead of a 5.
We meet Mark back in book 2 when he's brought in as a new omega and he seems pretty much like any other. It isn't really until Lance's story that we see another side of him but I was still surprised... and not in a good way by the nature of his relationship with Yriel... cause it felt off, not because it's uncharacteristic of omegas in this world but because it didn't seem in character with him. I think his romantic relationship with Yriel is sweet tho... beautiful and his with Shaw worked ok.
Yriel we meet in book 1 as a badass and he only gets better with time. Even now, in Mark's book, really HIS BOOK he shows even more of that, his story, his strength and power, he is AWESOME. I thought for a moment I'd be disappointed by his secret but nope... on the contrary. And the way the whole thing moves the story, that background plot to a climactic end... BRILLIANT. I really think he stole the show. Mark who?
Then there's Shaw. Just like Mark and Yriel he appears in previous books and it's mentioned here and there but to be honest there was not enough about him for me to create a previous attachment so I went full on whatever he showed here. Aaaaand... it was ok? I liked him better than Mark but while he clearly had a relationship with Yriel that could go sexy, his relationship with Mark felt... forced, unnecessary too. It just didn't click.
So. To be honest, I'm gonna give this book a 4 as a romantic novela but a 5 for everything else. It's just great. You could end the series here and be good but you also leave a new world to explore with so many changes about to start. And the way the old vampire world comes to an end, exciting, drama, vengeance, perfect.
This entry was not what I was expecting but at the same time is all it needed to be. 5 stars

WOW! This story is so good and fits perfectly into the Forsaken Few series. I love all 3 of these characters and to see them get their HEA together is just beautiful. Shaw having lost his love, Heofan, during birth many years ago, does not think he will have another shot at true mate love. Enter Mark (Shadow), the broken little omega vampire/wolf who spends his heats with Yriel, the one he loves. But Yriel (Snowflake) has a secret, and it makes it impossible, so they think, for them to mate. Not to mention, I do love Yriel, but he is very self-centered and takes all the love Mark gives but doesn't truly reciprocate. Until all three of these lovely people get together. Read this book and find out all the secrets Yriel has been hiding that has been hinted at in past books. You will also witness coming to terms with their past, present and future together. There will also be a surprise at birth for one of them too, so sweet and special. Not to mention, there is a visit of the "Grim" variety that will allow another book, so excited for that one too! No, it isn't an Oren/Lance book either, but you have met them. Mallory, the doctor, gets closer to figuring out all there is to the turned alphas and vampire omegas. Exciting!

This is book four in the 'Forsaken Few: The Omegas of Club Despair'. In this one Yriel/Rue, Mark and Shaw are the central triad in the book. It is wonderful to read how from being a bit reluctant to let Shaw in the triad is a wonderful fit and is healing in more than one way for all three. Their parts are mainly very 'spicy' but also tender and caring.I also loved to check in with all the known characters and getting to know new ones. Beside the romance there is a strong plotline which develops further to 'places' I was not expecting, omega's getting more recognition, and on that note I am curious were Lilo will take us next. Do we get more answers as Mallory and others unravel 'puzzels' more. If you like romance with MPreg, shifters, vampires, mixes, grims and more this isone is for you.
This ia another great book to read. This is book four in the series and just as interesting and the other three. The story continues in this book. The main characters in this book are Yriel, Mark and Shaw, however all the other characters make appearances throughout this story. This book was hard to put down. Shaw is Timber's father and visiting the coven when his help is needed. Mark is and omega wolf that has never shifted. Mark does not trust alpha and will only let Yriel help with his heats. Yriel is a vampire and possibly a wolf, but has never shifted. Yriel acts like an alpha and is head of his coven. Will Yriels secret lead to trouble???? Will Yriel find the answers he is looking before before everyone find out what he truely is???.

I really enjoyed reading the story about Mark and Yriel and how they find their alpha mate in Shaw. The vampire Council faces their judgement and the packs unite in saving the omegas who was stolen. I enjoyed these two characters as they struggled to come to grips with being omegas and what they face as they come to grips with being pregnant. There are some surprises in this story, but eventually they all have a happily ever after which is what they all deserve.

I have had many questions about Yriel, who he was, and about his actions in the prior Omegas of Club Despair books. I understand so much more now. No spoilers, but I loved this book and getting to know more about Yriel and his mates. If you have been enjoying this series, you will not want to miss this one. This is the fourth book in the series, and I definitely suggest starting at the beginning of the series or you won't have the history or recognize all the characters and their connections.

Excellent story, great addition to the series! Shaw, Mark and Yriel are good men and all have personal challenges to overcome. There is love and there are secrets. Our men go through some challenges to make their relationships work. There are questions and answers all around. This series is best served if read in order as the stories build on each other. Great characters. Excellent challenges. Do they find a way where everyone finds the love they deserve? Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Honestly the writing for this series was so confusing. I enjoyed the premise so it ended up not being a major issue.
I felt the most disconnect with this book compared to the others. Pierce, Nick, and Lance had history that was established between their stories. While their past and overall history was deeply connected with Yriel and Shaw, Mark didn’t really fit. Overall I’m glad to have gotten through this series so I can move on, but I don’t think I’ll pick up anything else from this author.
Mark Them Softly is a new addition to the Forsaken Few series and it's the best one so far. Yriel and Mark have their secrets. Yriel is the head of the vampire clan but no one knows he is an omega and a part wolf. Mark is his mate but is an omega also. Shaw is their mate and will know anything to protect them. The book is sweet, romantic, and funny, with some angst, and their sexy times are hot. This author's books keep getting better and better and I'm looking forward to the next one.
As always, I enjoy the series and the found family that has been made along the way. I like how the MCs complement each other, and I enjoy the trash talking from supporting characters and reoccurring characters. I hope the author continues to expand this world and keep the series going. One of my favorite lines from the book is "I am death itself, and you will cease this at once!" There were definitely some laugh out loud moments.
This is a paranormal romance novel with mpreg, the fourth book in a series that must be read in order. Mark, Yriel and Shaw each bear the scares of their pasts. Will fate allow them all to be together? Meanwhile things are flailing up in the vampire council, what will happen next?! Such a great end to this part of the series!! I recommend this to those who love paranormal stories.
Fabulously done fated romance. This trio of characters really come alive off the pages. I became entrenched from the beginning and was sad to see the book end. Quite a few unknowns had been answered.
Mark, Yriel and Shaw embodied the loving work of a throuple-love coming together in not so ideal circumstances.
**I received this ARC from Booksprout for my honest feedback.**
I’ve enjoyed this series so far but like I noted earlier the writing style takes some getting used to. Not complaining but I feel like some parts of the story happen off-page and we are supposed to keep up despite missing some information, don’t know if other readers experience the same thing with this series? Anyways, I may be stopping the series here for now but thank you Ms. Quie!
This is a great series and this story was a great addition. I enjoyed the way the storyline plays out and how the characters interact together. This was a great and interesting read.
I've enjoyed this series from the start and was looking forward to the newest addition. It was an enjoyable read. I liked the characters, and the dynamic between Shaw, Mark, and Yriel. They had great chemistry between them. I love the little surprise towards the end. 5 stars.
My least favorite of the series, unfortunately. Found myself bored for a lot of it even though I thought I was going to love Yriel. I wanted more of him being a badass and less political monologues. I also found myself confused on the perspective often
Sometimes I got mixed up on the different wives vampires grims... ...some were vampires who were not vampires but were wolves I just liked the mates they were sweet
This is a series that you need to read in order to fully understand everything happening to the characters and their world. It has been a pleasure to spend a few hours with each couple and now we get Mark's story. The mysterious Yriel has appeared before and now he takes centre stage alongside Mark. He is quite a character and has many secrets that weigh on him, and finally we see behind the mask. He has fascinated me and Lilo hasn't let me down. Seeing him and Mark together and in love but not mated made me sad but Timber's dad, Shaw, changes everything for all three of them. Shaw is very sweet with them, just what they need, and together they are absolutely red hot. The overall story arc that started in the first book carries on here, and there are plenty of revelations about what is still happening and who is involved. I was really pleased with how all the threads were pulled together and the culprits dealt with. Seeing all the couples and their families was lovely, as was the love and affection between all the omegas and all the alphas. Meeting new characters too gave me hope that they may feature in future books, either in this series or a spin-off.
