Humanities Fate Hangs in the Balance

While Admiral Anderson is off in the galaxy on his flagship the Port Royal fighting the Galactic War against the Draconian Empire, the dreaded Lizard Men send a fleet to invade the Sol system. Admiral Anderson and the War Fleet from Earth along with their allies in the North Rim Alliance converge on the Draconian home world. Admiral Roy Shannon, commander of the Home Guard Fleet, on board the United Space Corps vessel Shenandoah wage guerrilla warfare by launching hit-and-run tactics from a hidden base in the asteroid belt. When the Lizard Men land troops on Earth, Shannon orders the Fleet Marines aboard the Shenandoah to space jump and land on Earth to help in the defense of the planet. Shannon knows that the Home Guard Fleet is Earth’s last line of defense and that humanity's fate rests on his shoulders. Will they be victorious? Will they usher in a new era of peace and exploration as humanity expands to the stars, or will humanity be exterminated by the vile Lizard Men? These are the things on Admiral Shannon’s mind as he leads his fleet into battle.

David Donaghe lives in the high desert of Southern California with his wife and family. In his spare time, David writes short stories and novels. When not reading or writing, David enjoys riding his motorcycle. He rides his brothers and sisters in the American Cruisers motorcycle club. This is where he gets some of his ideas for his writing. With the club, David sometimes volunteers at the local veteran’s home. He helps the police and fire department deliver toys to children in town at Christmas.
