since 23.5 hasn't started filming yet, i thought i'd read the novel to help tide me over. and let me just say that ongsa, tinh, and charoen are the most chaotically entertaining group of friends i’ve ever read about.
4.5/5 A very cute, sweet and lovely story about two girls. They have their problems, some of them are very big, but in the end they manage to go through everything and be together. Some stuff about this book hits so hard, especially if you're the same as Ongsa, who has a low self-esteem, thinks badly about herself, has social anxiety, overthinks, think for other people and put others at the first place instead of herself. I never understand some things that Sun did, but at the same time... They're just teenagers. They act like teenagers, they make mistakes that teenagers usually make. I really liked this book and even though it's pretty simple, it's actually a good read.
A pretty cute and basic high school romance. It was quick and easy to read, with all the expected twists and turns but with a sweet dynamic at its core that kept me going.
''the world has nothing to do with this. i just want to be close to you.''
i cried over the pilot trailer for the show just a few days ago so reading this felt like a natural next step. this was lovely and cute and heartwarming and i can't wait for the series to be released next year!! incredible casting on gmmtv's part giving ongsa and sun to milk and love, and i'm so excited to see them bring this lovely story to life
esas cuatro estrellas son completamente biased porque las amo con todo el alma y me importa un carajo lo repentino y ridículo que fue ese final. qué viva el amor carajo!
Just a feel good, slice of life novel tbh I have no notes. I will say though I prefer the show over the novel which doesn’t happen that often but there’s a lot that the show changed from the novel and it was nice to get all this added context, plus the special chapters at the end were such a treat.
I can also safely say that milk and love were perfectly cast as ongsa and sun, I can’t imagine anyone else playing these two characters
It's very obvious that it was written by a "I'm not like other girls" who didn't get along with the "popular girls" in her class just because of how the author portrayed Sun very egocentric. Nevertheless, I liked the core of the story (ignoring how bad it was portrayed) and I think the TV series will make them justice.
Me encanto, muy tierna la historia y me gusto que abordarán la homofobia por parte de la familia aunque es doloroso es algo real que a muchos de la comunidad les pasa.
