Shattered Divinity: A Dog's Journey in a Dying World

Rate this book
Daybreak is only a distant memory in the light of the Bleeding Moon that unites the broken remains of Shattered Divinity.

After the devastating attack on the Night of None, Duchess is confronted with a seemingly impossible decision. Time is running out to stop the Spirit of the Dark, and the only dog who might be able to help her is also among her greatest enemies. To save the future, she will need to go back to the very beginning and embark on a desperate mission to find an artifact that might be able to end this nightmare for good. Even if she is successful, there’s no guarantee that they’ll even get a chance to fight, for the Spirit of the Dark is finally ready to enact its master plan.

At the end of all things, everyone must stand and face their fears, lest the world they’ve fought so hard to protect come crumbling down for good.

"There is beauty in strangeness..."

I cannot even begin to explain how touched I was by this book. Beyond all the war and bloodshed, there is beauty within this book, for such a gruesome book to have such an ending certainly is something. Love is the basis of all there is. There is one thing that can provide, amplify and rip away hope at once... and this thing can only be called love. And from this book, we see that divinity is forged from love alone. The bond between Burn and Duchess is one of the most wholesome, beautiful things I've ever read. I feel as though I can feel the couple's everyday struggles. The way this book ends is emotional as well as it is strange... and back to the quote from the book, there is most definitely beauty in strangeness.
