Possessive Mafia Kings #5

Secret Babies for the Italian Mafia Boss

Rate this book
I had twin babies with a ruthless mafia boss
And kept it a secret for years
Now he's back to claim what's his...

Camilla Luca Bianco was my family’s enemy.
Possessive, dangerous, and sinfully hot.
Yet, no matter how hard I tried,
Those piercing eyes,
Those wandering hands…
I couldn’t escape the memory of his body on mine.

Or how I see him in our babies;
The ones I never told him about.

But what I didn’t know was that when Dad died,
Our business was sold to Luca
And I’d fall for the Devil all over again.

But if Luca wants me and his babies,
He’ll have to beg for mercy...
Luca Bianco

I was a ruthless killer.
Everything I touched,
I deliberately tainted—
All except for
Camilla.

She was the red rose to my dark thorn.
We’d only spent one night together,
Yet she never left my thoughts;
The one girl that I let get away.

But now she’s back in my grasp,
And with our kids who she’d kept secret.

Come hell or high water,
They’ll both be my redemption,
And I'll destroy anything that tries to touch my family.

Secret Baby for the Italian Mafia Boss is a spicy, dark secret baby mafia romance between a possessive, alpha male mafia king and a rival he is in love with.
Contains mature themes that may be sensitive to some.

I believe that if there were additional plot developments comprising more-longer chapters, this book could have garnered a four-star rating. It was a nice book, a fast-paced read, without any sense of monotony and featured intriguing characters! I simply desired a little more substance.

DNF at 28%. The idiocy of these characters was so infuriating and felt like something I would read by a 15 year old. How can the author write characters so stupid when the one was in his 30/40s and the other in their 20s. Everything I read sounded like a child wrote it, not worth the time of anyone. Unless you have a guilty pleasure for torturing yourself, then here you have a great book

Sometimes I have to appreciate when a book tells me exactly what to expect.

There is an Italian. He is a mob boss. There are babies. They are a secret.

I go in prepared, you know?

I like that this book is straight-forward and makes no pretence about not being formulaic and sub-genre specific. That was what I wanted out of it and was what I got. If you know what you’re looking for, this book will not shock or surprise you, it will go exactly the way you imagine it will. It’s a good, fairly entertaining way to kill some time with characters that are likeable enough that you don’t root against them in their little world.

There were some things I was left slightly confused about - that could also be the product of this being part of a larger series perhaps?

🌶️

Camilla was extremely independent to the point where I just wanted to yell at her, haha. Luca is instantly intrigued by her the moment he sees her & knows she’s different I wish he wouldn’t have slept with anyone in the five years they were apart if he was so infatuated I wouldn’t see why he’d seek out sexual pleasure with anyone else plus it brought absolutely nothing to the story.

I don't know why I do this to myself by reading these kinds of books. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it was good either. It lacked a plot, and I didn't really feel the connection between the main characters.

This was my least favorite in the series

Luca didn’t have the same obsessive possessiveness as with the past males. I didn’t like Camilla from the start. She went to a club to give up her virginity with a stranger who happened to be Luca. She left him the next morning like a one night stand and he meant nothing. Later she found out she pregnant and got kicked out by her father. Instead of letting Luca know, she acts like she couldn’t get in touch with him for the next five years. Although she didn’t know his last name , she knew the club he owned so it shouldn’t have been a problem to find him. When she finally meets him again by chance she keeps the fact that the twins are his from him. He works at getting her back and she is constantly giving him a hard time, like he is in the wrong.

Kinda brace myself for the worst because of the reviews but surprisingly, it turned out pretty good.

A quick and entertaining read, I enjoyed it a lot.

Tho I have to admit it was OTT, so OTT, especially when he found out the truth, the way he roared and growled and screamed reminded me so much of that guy on Tiktok crying “My heart I loved her” lmao.

Also, it was quite a shame that we didn’t get to see much of the kids, especially in the epilogues. I was really looking forward to seeing our 2 little sassy O-square being the best big brother and sister ever to their siblings. We were robbed, I'm calling the cops!!

I don't know what tags to put it in.

Romance? They don't know anything about each other.

He saw her existing, minding her business, and decided to risk everything, like any business man would ofc, to bone her.

He doesn't act like a mafia boss tbh.

It was okay. It could be better.

Found from TikTok.

The twins were sweet and little devils at the same time. I liked that.

But then again... Kids. I have a few specific strong words towards them, period.

She's all about wanting to do everything alone. Go queen.

And she seems smart. Just exhausted.

But I don't understand how she is so cool and indifferent about the danger.

Yes dear, you have been through a lot. Not many would manage as well as you did.

Did you forget your upbringing? Your life in the mafia? The danger on every corner because you are the daughter of a boss?

Your love, kindness and strengh won't protect you from a bullet.

She is smart but many times acted stupid so the book could happen.

---

What I can't forgive is your sweet neighbor lady that you left all alone. The sweet grandma probably only had you and the kids for company. Great compassion on your part.

---

It was alright, but don't read it again.

I so enjoyed this story of Luca Bianco and Camilla Thompson.

It’s Camilla twenty-first birthday and she is going out with her two best friends Cora and Jasmine. Camilla wanted to celebrate at Club Forty-Seven and she had to lie to her father and bodyguard. Luca saw a beautiful young woman in his club and wanted a night with her. For her birthday he cash app her seventeen thousand five hundred dollars. When he saw one of the older patrons trying to talk to her he left the VIP section and threw him out of the club. He took her to her exclusive room and they spent a wild night of passion and he wanted her to spend the night but when he woke up she was gone. That was the last night he saw her for five years. The impression that she made on him had his life upside down and he couldn’t think of anyone but her and his searching he couldn’t find her. Camilla had a set of twins and learned to survive by baking for customers from her apartment. After five years and her dad on his deathbed he sent for her and that was when Luca saw the love of his life and started his quest to win her back. Beautiful story and well written. I loved it.

I can't keep doing this to myself. I can't keep picking up these Harlequin-esque mafia romances and hoping to not roll my eyes the entire time. To be fair to Secret Babies for the Italian Mafia Boss, I was enjoying the read up until the 60% mark.

Camilla and Luca had a pretty good dynamic from the start. Obviously, I would have preferred that Luca stayed celibate the entire time they were apart. I mean, how can you be obsessed with a woman you slept with and want to have a future with her, but then sleep with other women? I don't care if they didn't mean anything, you still slept with them. And frankly, I'm so exhausted with the trope that the woman stays celibate while the man still gets to sow his oats.

Once the suspense plot started to pick up, that's where the book lost me. Simply because it was also like a complete personality change with Camilla. All of a sudden she was accepting Luca's expensive gifts and offers to help. I'm not opposed to that. She just flip a switch and started doing it and it didn't flow well.

Overall, I think I'm done with the mafia romances that have titles akin to a Fallout Boy song. I need to just let it go.

Its Camille's twenty-first birthday and her friends take her out to celebrate. The club is busy, but Luca couldn't take his eyes off of her. Once he reaches her, he asks her to spend some time with him. She agrees and they share an amazing night together. However, she leaves before he wakes. Not long after their night together she realizes that she is pregnant when her father finds out he throws her out and threatens her if she reaches out to any of her friends. So, she is on her own completely when she has her babies. Then years later her father wants to see her again because he is sick. Will she go back and chance running into the kids' dad? Can her and Luca move on from how things were between them?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book for any book lover to enjoy.

I should’ve known but I’m sucker for the second chance/secret child whatever this trope is called but OMG I wanted to pull my hair out. I think I only finished because it was 200 pages. The fact that this man met his own children and spoke with them on numerous occasions, and couldn’t figure out they were his actually blew my mind. You’re the head of the mafia and you’re stupid enough to not do basic math in your head to realize that hey the timeline is a little suspicious. Plus somewhere in the book he says “I wonder if I’m the only man she’s been with” before he found out. Well if you’re the only man she’s been with then YOU ARE THE FATHER!! And he still didn’t figure it out SHE HAD TO TELL HIM!! And then he goes well now that you mention it they do kinda look like me. I felt like I was constantly screaming at my phone the entire time I was reading.

The author has a sense of humor

This is book three in the series but they all are good to be read in any order. This one is about a sheltered beautiful young woman Camilla, who just turned twenty one years old. She is pretty much a mafia princess who is also a homebody. However this is a big deal to turn twenty one, so her friends help Camilla get dolled up gorgeous. They make their way to the most popular night club around. What Camilla doesn’t know is that the club is owned by her dad’s associate and sometimes foe Luca Bianco. Luca sees Camilla and is taken by her beauty and innocence. Read On!
