Ellen lives in a small town in New England, between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. She lives with her husband, two sons, and one very spoiled puppy princess.

Ellen writes in the early morning hours before her family wakes up. When she's not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening with her puppy and chickens, or headed to the beach. She loves summer and flip-flops, running on a dirt country road, and a sweet love song.

All of her stories are clean romances where families are close, neighbors are nosy, and the couples are destined for each other.

I really have enjoyed this series and this book. There is something about the characters that pulled me in and made me relate to them and what they were going through. I liked that they have friends willing to help them even when they do not ask for help or do not know how to ask because of what they are facing.
This is now one of my favorites in this series.  It was full of family, hope, love, romance, and making difficult decisions.  Maria Deluca lived by herself on Martha's Vineyard.  After a few incidents of being confused, her daughter, Camilla came home from New York City to check on her and stay for a few days. When it all became too much for Camilla she called her sister, Angelina to get over her past with their mom and come home to help care for Marie for the summer.  It was interesting to learn about Angelina's past and why she had not been back for many years.
I liked how the family worked on healing their past hurts and rediscovered old friends, as well as, made new friends along the way.  It seemed the ocean and friendship were good for everyone.  I enjoyed how Elias helped Camilla to restore the old family home's garden and how maybe love was in their future.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Absolutely The Best

Absolutely The Best of Ellen Joy's story telling. This is the heart felt tale of the De Luca family coming together at their old, quaint cape house. Each member's travails becomes an opportunity to grow and flourish. All the wonderful people Ms. Joy has created throughout the Cliffside Point Series are present, adding color and family love.
Set on Martha's Vineyard island, a magical land that holds a special place in this enthusiastic reader's heart, you will feel, no, you'll soak up the delightful homes, beaches, cliffs, villages and salt sea that makes it such a special place.
The author draws you in, gently sinks the hook as her reel sings. You can certainly read this book all on it's own, but if you begin with Beach Home Beginnings (which ebook is free) you will enjoy a thoroughly satisfying walk from book to book and character to character.
Above everything else, Ellen's writing is top notch, easily matching Elin Hildebrand and Kristin Hannah in quality and style. She's that good.

"Seagrass Sunrise" is another perfect addition to the Cliffside Point series by Ellen Joy. I am unabashedly in love with this series. Each book hits me in a new emotional way while still keeping me entertained and wanting more. This is a heartbreaking story of healing family trauma and coming together to realize the importance of having a support network of family and friends. It introduced new characters that enhanced the already well-established ones from the previous books and filled me with anticipation for the last final book. Based on how this one ended - I cannot wait to read how everything will wrap up for these characters.
This book is going on my favorites shelf in my book collection and is well worth a read!
Happy Reading...enjoy!

Another lovely story from Cliffside Point. This one involves Marie, a woman who is going senile - possibly dementia or Alzheimer's; her youngest daughter Camille, who lives in New York but is called back to Martha's Vineyard when her mother is found walking outside church dressed in her pajamas. Camille needs help with her mom but her sister Angelina, refuses to come from San Francisco due to a falling out she had with her mom and dad 17 years previously.

So this is a story about aging parents, forgiveness, growing up and coming together as a family against obstacles. It's a beautiful story told with heart and dignity.

Ellen Joy has written another great book in this series. Camilla returns to Martha's Vineyard after learning her mother is showing signs of confusion. Managing her mother's illness and trying to save her childhood home is more than she thought. She calls her sister who has been estranged from the family since she had her daughter Penny at 16. Camilla, Angelina and Penny come together and realize that the friends and family from the past are the key to making them whole again. I can't wait for the next book!

I was super excited when I saw Ellen's Cliffside book in my inbox.
When the mother got sick, Camilla took leave from her job to take care of her mother. She lost her job in New York, which was tough, however it was a big win for the family that they were all together. This was such an amazing story of a broken family stepping up and working on their rships.
Camilla and Elias are such a beautiful couple, and their relationship happened very organically, two beautiful people coming together, and a great HEA.
I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion

Not a Hallmark fantasy!

What I really liked about this series is that it is about real people with real issues not some made up fantasy. These characters of a certain age are living life with all it's pitfalls and trials. Not done happily ever after pretense. I love how it is so real and heart breaking at the same time. It makes you really sit back and wonder what if this was my life and it could just as easily be. Enjoy!

Finding out their mother has Alzheimer's is frightening for sisters Camilla and Angelina now they have to leave their lives behind and return to Cliffside Point to decide the best way to help her. When their neighbors hear about their situation they are more then happy to help in any way they can. I have enjoyed this series so much because of the strong family ties.

Seagrass Sunrise was a pleasure to listen to. When their mother's health brings two sisters back home to Martha's Vineyard, all their lives will change. Tough decisions to be made.
