His second chance at love needs a holiday miracle.
Becoming a werewolf messed up Gunner’s plans for the future. He’d pictured getting married to his high school sweetheart, popping out a few kids, and growing old and chunky, loved by his family. In reality, he went to war, got bitten, became a werewolf, and ditched his past, including his fiancée because he’s convinced he can’t have a normal life. Or so he thinks. Seeing his Lycan brothers finding their happily ever after has given him hope. Maybe if he’s willing to try, he can have a second chance. Nope. Kylie isn’t interested. As far as she’s concerned, he messed up big time and she’s moved on. Luckily for Gunner, fate intervenes, and when danger threatens, Kylie has only one person to turn to. One man she can trust. Can this lone wolf save Christmas?
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
I wanted to love because I do enjoy her other omega/ were books but I didn’t like it. I read it fast enough and it has some feel good Christmas vibes. I think it was just too sweet and lovey for me.
This was such a good story. I absolutely loved the fact that Gunner overcame his issues and went back to Kylie. Annabelle was so sweet of a character. Having the boys together for the ending was also great. I loved the characters and storyline. On to something new. 😊😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Loved the story. Did audio for this one. Narrator was good, but could have used help of a male voice for male characters. I've been spoiled lately with dual narrators. Annabelle stole the show. Cutest kid in a book I've read in awhile. Gunner was everything I hoped he would be. Solid protector who didn't try to replace the girl's father, no matter how much of a male body part the guy acted like. At times I wanted to strangle the idiot myself, but alas, he really does love his daughter. This was one of the better Christmas novels I've read too. I liked how the story was woven into the holiday season rather than just happening to be Christmastime when it all happened. Definitely worth reading again. Easy 4 stars.
Very good book I enjoyed listening to this book. You can really see how much Gunner still loves Kylie even after all these years of being apart. It was nice seeing all the sweet things he does for her to show his love and to prove he will not leave her again. The highlight is her daughter (nickname Squishy). She’s smart and witty and brings humor to the book. Not as much exciting action as the previous books in the series but it was still very enjoyable. We really get to see their relationship grow. I can see me listening to this again. I recommend.
These two had a lot to unpack, and both recognized it was no quick fix! As much as Gunnar wanted it to be ‘hey I’m sorry’ and everything is a-okay, he wasn’t getting away with that. He needed to earn his woman back, and she, rightfully so, had some concerns. But these two were too perfect together for it not to work out, and I loved how they got their HEA in their own way, at the right time, for them both <3
I do love this author and the paranormal books she writes. Gunner is a great character and not over the top. Kylie was a great mum dealing with a horrible ex and then her ex, gunner, turns up. Good seeing the enemies getting retribution. But overall just a really good story.
So glad “Gus” got his happy ever after story. Enjoyed the rap if of the series with glimpses of past couples. Would have liked a five or ten year glimpse with their daughter grown up and both her and her mom graduated from college.
Good decision to have the child's age somewhere right before pre-teen, and I had fun listening to the FL trying to make sense of his truth until she could see it for herself.
Exciting, funny, and plenty of action. This is Gunner's story and how he tries to make up for the bad decision he made 10 yrs earlier. A really great book.
