FOR USE IN SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES ONLY. A thorough and riveting biography of the Mexican painter. Beginning with Kahlo's birth, the reader is taken on a 48-page journey through the trials and tribulations of one of the early 20th-century's most original and important artists.
This book would be suited for older readers (upper elementary/middle school) as it has so much information in it. It tells about Frida but also about her husband and what was happening in her world at that time, historically. Lots of information for people researching an artist and their time.
Packed with info about the artist as well as spreads on political/societal conditions at the time. I really appreciated the timeline at the bottom. Meant for older elementary students.
