Okay, I get why they call her an angel.

This is The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, Volume 2.

Mahiru is just absurdly cute in this volume, but it’s not only that. She cooks for Amane, eats with him, hangs out at his apartment. They’re not even almost dating anymore. They’re practically living together.

Then Amane’s mom, Shihoko, shows up and immediately starts causing chaos, and I loved basically every second she was around.

My one tiny complaint is that she looks way too young to be his mother. If you told me she was Amane’s classmate, I honestly wouldn’t question it.

Other than that, I had basically no complaints. Mahiru is so fucking cute that I spent most of this volume smiling like an idiot.

Five out of five stars.

I took my time reading it because I was watching a different Romance anime which 2 Romances at the same time isn’t great. Anyway this was a nice volume I think the illustrations are very good and the story is cute I have already watched the anime but because both the anime and manga are based of the light novels it’s really interesting to see the choices they made of which scene to include and how some characters are drawn.

4.5 Stars. For the entire volume there was a smile on my face. From the gift-giving, to the hints of a melancholic backstory, to the short excerpt from the light novels this volume was a joy to read.
