I decided to read Bakusou!! Love Attack because I hit random in a manga/shoujo search and it came up. The art looked nice and the storyline was interesting sounding. I didn’t think that I would be found of it.

I was actually surprised at how quickly I was taken into the story and how quickly I actually found I liked it.

The story didn’t have a slow start; it plunged right into the action and the meat of the story without much exposition, which is what I prefer in books that I read and in the books that I write. When chapter one started it wasn’t three pages before I was going “oh, no, not another typical manga romance,” but by the fifth page I was laughing so hard at the young girl’s attempts to make friends with the male lead that I actually fell out of my chair laughing.

I won’t go into too much detail about all the stunts she pulls but one of them enveloped a sharpie and a package of wet-ones. Beyond hilarious.

It had the typical relationship, though. The bad boy who falls for the sweet goody-goody girl but can’t love her because they are so different.

Still, it is a rather quick and ridiculously fun read. I would suggest it to a friend, hands down.

Super cute, light, fluffly, short, and to the point, just the way I like 'em. This is really what I have been in the mood for, for a while.
