While the puppy pictures were pretty darn adorable, the doggy quotes could have been better. The only quote I kind of liked was:

A compact collection of nice quotes about dogs--one of my favorite subjects. My mediocre rating owes to the fact that I don't like the photographs. I guess I'm the odd man out in this, but I find these hyper-exaggerated, ultra-distorted pictures of animals to be unattractive, even downright insulting. If you want cartoonish dogs, hire a good cartoonist--don't take pictures that make them look ridiculous.

How can anyone not think this is a great book? It's only fault is the same as dogs, it is too short. I love and collect quotes and this is filled with great quotes and cute pictures. Just a nice little book to have around and get a hint of good feelings that capture the good feelings a dog gives you.

I'm not a big fan of poetry so I did not care much for the writing in the book. The pictures of the dogs were cute though.
I think I should also mention that I am very much a cat person.
