It's kind of funny. When I was a preteen, I aspired to be a published author. Years later I'm running a very small publishing house. It's kind of like going full circle.

I have nothing to say beyond that.

GREAT CHARACTERS!

What a great storytelling technique this author has! A vibrant adventure filled with elves, werewolves, dwarfs and even lowly humans. Characters come to life with the smart writing of Katrina Joyner. This is a rollicking tale of human strength and weakness and the ties of blood, loyalty and morality all wrapped up in a fantastic adventure.

Listen to the beautiful voice of the writer:

“He travelled light, down into the bowels of the mountain. Underground highways that had been built for generations crisscrossed not only his mountain, but miles around the area and even into other mountains. It was like a giant ant mound, dwarves often said proudly if called upon to talk about their homes….’’

And….

“Whispers of dark things that lurked in the shadows…”

“Raori heard the explosion, felt it vibrating through the ground. He paused in his work, reached with his mind, searching……”

“The lad nodded, perspiration beading on his brow. His fingers moved faster than lightening, creating cat cradles and lady feathers, sustaining levitation spells and bindings.”

This is a fun and entertaining read that will capture your imagination and take it on a journey into the intriguing worlds of Black Wolf, Silver Fox and create visual images that will stay impressed upon your mind as if they really do exist.

Such a well written novel deserves every one of its five star rating.

PS. Everyone should check out this author’s artwork – it’s absolutely incredible.
