Niall Lucy is a research fellow in the humanities at Curtin University of Technology. He is the author of A Derrida Dictionary and Postmodern Literary Theory.
I absolutely love this book. I return to it again and again for clarifications. Derrida is known for his sometimes impenetrable theories, and there are various ways to unpack them. My mind happens to go well along with Lucy's, and this I believe is the main reason I find such clarity in his writing.
One would expect a dictionary on Derrida to be somewhat playful and perhaps not always exceedingly exact in its definitions. However, one would also hope that it would give some insight into the often obscurant terminology Derrida uses. Unfortunately, this dictionary delights too much in its own deconstructive techniques to be of much help there.
