We recently read Curious George and the Hot Air Balloon together. In that story they visit Mount Rushmore and my son kept asking me questions about Mt. Rushmore, so during our next trip to the library we found this book. I love the photographs and simple language. It's informative and, surprisingly, fun to read!

i don't think you need to be right there at Mount Rushmore to enjoy it ... any where from a distance that you can see it ... it is just amazing ... sorry i am drawing a blank on the name of the highway?? be sure your vehicle will fit but you curve in and out of the mountain and it is just amazing. great for pictures ... so pretty ... it is amazing. this read gives u a bit of history. history is great!!

I used this book for a lesson. It was a great book, very informative, awesome pictures! It was the perfect book to learn about Mount Rushmore.
