This book speaks to the heart of a living relationship between man and nature. In it Dorothy Maclean chronicles her interaction with the intelligence of trees and a call for support to accomplish their vital work. It includes several beautiful black and white photos by Alan Watson and Brian Ziegler and a forward by St. Barbe Baker.
2.5 stars,I really hate giving books like this a low rating because I know how precious intuitive and channeled messages are to the authors, these are highly personal and spiritual experiences they're sharing. However, I just found this book a bit dry and laborous. 😩
These are the messages 'heard' by the author in her mind as she communed with many different trees and plants at the magical Findhorn garden. Each message is maybe 2 pages at the longest. The messages are beautiful, loving, nonjudgmental and noble, but they just felt a little flat somehow,I think if there was perhaps more of the author's reaction or if it'd be written as a conversation rather than a speech,it might have had more emotional intrigue for readers.
Fans of Abraham Hicks will find that almost everything these beings say is exactly what Abraham says too, which I thought was cool. The plants speak in that grand, yet selfless way which my own guides do,they never use the word 'I' and they come across as total peace and love. I thought this language style seemingly being universal to all beings was neat also.
Yet it just didn't really pull me in,but I am glad I read it and I'm going to copy out several important passages.
