This book is a sequel to Wolfe Lowenthal’s first There Are No Secrets . Like the previous book, it is about his teacher, the great Cheng Man-ch’ing, the art of Tai Chi Chuan, and his experience as a student and teacher.
While this is not an instructional book on Tai Chi techniques, it does point to some of the spiritual (and ultimately, physical) underpinnings of the art. I enjoyed the book, and recommend it.
Although this second text focuses on "push hands," it continued to give ample tips to practice the form. I especially liked the explanations of heart-mind and ego mind, of soft hands, of weighting and of centered balance. This is a solid aid to players of Tai Chi Chuan.
