This book is for both, Web authors and Web users. As a web author, you want to produce content that is recognized as providing quality content (be it, advocacy, informational, news, entertainment or personal). As a Web user, you could be faced with astonishingly many Web pages providing information or other content that provide more than one version of the truth. This book provides you with the tools you need to evaluate such information or content.



The book consists of 13 chapters. Chapter 1 is an introductory chapter and provides an overview of the whole book. Chapters 2 to 6 provide are "the conceptual foundation for the evaluation criteria". Chapters 4 through 12, however, are intended to serve as specific resource, each chapter represents a resource for one of the six types of Web pages described in the book. Finally, chapter 13 is for Web authors covering subjects including meta tags and copyright which also can be useful to Web users. At the end of the book, an appendix is provided. Appendix A has all the checklists provided throughout the text. Appendix B has a listing of all the questions related to each evaluation criterion.
