Book three in the Were Chronicles Series Adam White is the new Alpha in his territory but Tasha Johnson may the one in charge. As new Alpha of his territory, Adam White has his hands full. He must make the transition to his new role as smooth as possible, which is easier said than done. His father's mental state is worrisome, a teenage girl has run away, and the woman of his dreams is helping with the search. Tasha knows the last thing the new Alpha needs is to look for her missing sister. Desperate, she goes to him and asks for his help anyway. As they leave their territory behind and travel to the city, she has more than just her runaway sister on her mind. Adam has taken a hold of her thoughts and fantasies. With so much happening around them, can two fated mates find one another and leave the world behind? If only for a few stolen erotic moments. Reader Advisory: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series.
I live in Texas with my husband, daughter, and three Labrador retrievers. By day you can find me at my 'day job' buried under a pile of paperwork but at night I am at my computer creating new worlds!
I have always loved the paranormal. Shape-shifters, witches, and vampires have been my number one choice of reading material so when I strated to write it was the genre I chose.
I currently have several books released through Totally Bound. I have one long running series the Were Chronicles and in March 2014 a spin-off series the Shifter Chronicles will be revealed.
I also have several stand alone novellas and novels.
I am working hard to bring more stories to the readers so they can sit back and relax while losing themselves in the paranormal romance world.
Nothing like a quickie to satisfy a girl on a Saturday night.
I read the three books of this series late last night (early this morning). Fabulous books for short stories. Pack Alpha (book 1) was my fav. but there is a lot of potential built into this ... I hope that there are many more books to come in this series and I hope that they are all as short and sweet as this one. The length sets them apart from all the other paranormal books.
I liked that there was a gay sub-story/conflict built into this story. Sometimes authors who write homosexual and heterosexual romance keep them very separate as not to scare off non-accepting audiences, but that separation doesn't help the progression and acceptance of homosexuality as normal and valid within society. So, I am very happy to see that this author includes homosexuality in this series and I hope to see more of it as the series develops (maybe also in the form as the main romance!). I'm in it for the romance, I don't care who is romancing who I just want to see some diverse lovin!
Something about this book wasn't as good as the first two, but still good enough ill keep going with the series. I think I just didn't connect with Adam and Tasha as much and then the thing with Adam's dad seemed to have came from left field. However, the steam still packed a major punch with a HEA in the end. I really wish we could get more of Gage and Marissa, they have been my favorite so far.
Adam is the new Alpha in his pack and he's trying to make it all work smoothly as possible but things are going as easily as he'd like. On top of worrying about his father, the former Alpha, he also needs to decide who will be his enforcer, let alone who will be in his inner circle. What he needs is a distraction and that comes in the way of a runaway out of his pack and her sister Tasha who asks for his help.
Tasha and Adam, their story in Pack Territory had me giggling and sighing. Theirs is a great romance between two wolves with a lot on each of their plates and not wanting to burden the other with their problems. Silly wolves you can't fight the natural attraction, however, when they do it makes for a fun story. I do have a teeny gripe about Adam. He was someone what of an insecure worrywart, something Alphas are not supposed to be. It made me want to take him by the scruff and shake him. Thankfully, he does work it out but while it's going on, yeah that sometimes was a bit tiresome.
Best parts of Ms. Smith's books is how she keeps previous characters still very active in the storyline. Not only do you get a nice romance story for your primaries but you also get updates on characters you already fell in love with. It's great to know what is going on with Gage and Marissa, as well as Emily and Cain. Then there is the main storyline that keeps building and evolving, will the wolves come out of 'the closet' and let the humans know they exist. I already know the answer to that but I am enjoying the journey they are taking to get there.
I've been reading several other series by author Crissy Smith for a while now and only recently just started the Were Chronicles. This is a good thing since Pack Territory has been expanded and re-edited for re-release. The series all seem to tie in together which is a good thing although, I feel I am working my way backward on a count of what has occurred in the other series as opposed to what is happening here. This isn't a bad thing but it certainly is filling in those 'aha' moments. Any way you choose to read Ms. Smith's series is up to you just so long as you do read them. Her books are always a pleasure in my book.
I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine. Stars - 4, Flames - 3
This one was so much more enjoyable than the last book! I really loved Tasha. She's very strong and has had the responsibility for her younger sister for a long time now. She really was forced to grow up. But I loved how she knew she wanted Adam. She had her insecurities when it comes to the idea of mating an alpha but she overcame them.
The drama in this was great. There wasn't any separation angst. This couple actually communicated which I why I loved Adam because he always asked about her thoughts and promoted her to talk to him about whatever she had on his mind.
I really loved the gay romance subplot Definitely added for an interesting subplot!
This is book three in the Were Chronicles. While each book is about a different couple and can be read as stand alone novellas, there are continuing story arcs through the series. Many characters also reoccur so it is helpful to read them in order.
Adam is a newly appointed alpha of his pack. When a pack mate asks for help concerning her sister he doesn’t hesitate to lend a hand. Tasha has been raising her sister alone for several years. Now that she has run away, Tasha decided to get help form the alpha to find her and bring her home. When she meets the alpha in person, after watching him from afar for years, there is an instant chemistry that neither can deny.
Adam doesn’t often feel like an alpha in this book. I think that stems from his character being unsure if he is ready for the position so he doesn’t take the lead in group settings and has moments of doubt. When he’s with Tasha, however, he is very much the alpha. He ties her up, spanks, her and…does other yummy sexual stuff that they both enjoy very much. But he did let her push him around a bit which was nice because he wanted her to feel comfortable with him. I felt like it showed how strong she was as well to be able to take him on and even take the lead.
There isn’t a very intense plot with this short. Basically Tasha’s sister ran away, they go get her and spend time at another pack so the sister can talk to another non-shifting wolf. It all takes place over just a few days so things were a bit rushed. I would have like for more time between Tasha and Adam when they weren’t tearing up the sheets or forest. There are several times when they are traveling by car and I think that could have been used to have some get to know you chats but all Tasha did was sleep. It was a little disappointing.
I am enjoying this series. I love how all the characters keep popping up in each others books. There are a lot of them so I don’t always remember details about each character but Smith does a nice job of giving a brief description of who’s who so the reader doesn’t get too overwhelmed. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.
Adam White has assumed the actual title of Alpha for his pack ever since his father's downward spiral of depression. Though he still has hope that his father will return to the alpha position at some future time he realizes his pack needs him so when Tasha Johnson asks for his help he agrees.
Tasha has dreamed about the sexy alpha but knows as a low level pack member she has no chance of getting HIM to notice her. When her sister Crystal runs away she's forced to ask for help to find her runaway sister of the Alpha. Little do either of them realize that anythings possible when it comes to family and love.
This was an interesting installment in the "Were Chronicles" featuring the core relationship between Adam and Tasha. The added suspense of finding sister Crystal does allow the inclusion of additional relationships that were unexpected but appreciated. I do believe this can be read as a standalone but does include cameo appearances by characters from the previous installments. The adult content erotica scenes have the steam up your windows with a little added tingly sensations but aren't very developed or extreme. Overall this is a quickie read that can be enjoyed if you have a couple hours and want to read a complete story.
My issues are that this story line wasn't developed enough nor the characters provided with enough of an opportunity to give depth to the book. The end result of this is that I wasn't emotionally vested in Tasha or her conflicting emotions as the story progressed. There is also a climatic realization scene that was exposed and resolved in a quick abrupt manner that was quite disappointing. Not in the conclusion, only the process. The problem with shorter length reads is that the luxury of reaching the reader is more difficult due to the condensed length which is the case here for me.
I did enjoy this book to the point I will continue to read the series as this continues to be a series that has more positives that I enjoy reading about and look forward to reading about Nikki & RJ.
I’m really enjoying this series! Crissy Smith has create a great world-building in the Were Chronicles series and “Pack Territory” the third story is as good as the previous two. With less action but with the same hot and sexy scenes, the plot keeps the reader interested and succeeds to impress.
Adam is a new alpha in the pack. He’s trying to do his best in order to be a great leader like his father. He has many things to handle and it’s not easy. His father is depressed, a teenage girl is missing and a woman drives him crazy! Adam is a great person. He’s strong, a very good ruler and he has the courage to admit his faults.
Tasha also a great character. She wants Adam’s help to find her sister but she also wants him very much. She believes that she’s not the perfect mate for him and at the beginning she keeps herself distant from him. She’s a kind woman and after what she’s been through in her life it’s very important to still be kind. Not with much self-esteem at first, she succeeds to have in her life everything she always wanted.
I liked that the author has another sub-story in the book, but I don’t want to tell anything else because it would be a spoiler! So, this book is a very good read for all the fans of this genre!
Pack Territory is the third book in the Were Chronicles and features Adam, Christian's son and new Alpha of his Pack. After the attack on Mindy, Christian is still suffering, and even though Logan is there to try and help, Adam can't see any improvement. Now Adam also has his own worries to contend with, about how he will be able to lead the Pack. Luckily for him, his friends make an appearance, which also gives the reader a chance to meet up with Cain and Gage again, which is always a pleasure! He also has Tasha on board, a shifter he has admired from afar. It turns out that she likes him too, and so we begin!
I loved this book! It was very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, and explains in perfect detail the worries that Adam has. An exciting story, with new characters and situations, old characters who we learn more about, and a general feel-good factor thrown in too. This is a brilliant series, and I highly recommend each and every book.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Pack Territory is Adam White and Tasha Johnson’s story. Adam has recently taken over as Alpha from his father and whilst trying to get used to the new role, one of his pack Tasha, comes to him pleading for his help to find her runaway non-shifter sister.
Whilst in the pursuit of trying to locate Tasha’s sister, feelings stir between Tasha and Adam that neither can control as they fantasise about each other, they know they are fated to be together, but with everything that is going on around them, will they ever get the opportunity to become truly mated?
This is a quick easy read that is a good continuation of the Were Chronicles and has everything a reader would expect from Ms. Smith and the series. Sexy Alpha males, beautiful strong independent females and lots of erotic, funny and testosterone filled moments. These books do have to be read in order because characters from other packs and previous books are mentioned and if not read in order, the connection and sense of family amongst the wolves can be lost.
As always Ms Smith tells a mean story, and my lower rating has more to do with the length of the tale rather than the quality of the novella as a whole. It is a continuation of the saga involving problems between the human community and shifter society--between those who want to see shifters enslaved for science and others who want them to own up to their presence in the midst of human society. It is another love story involving a new pack alpha who finds his mate but who must deal with her teen daughter's difficulties and his father's on-going depression. So unexpected twists and turns here but a really fun read and one that won't represent a major time commitment.
This novella, the third in the Were Chronicles, sees Alpha Adam White fall in love with his mate Tasha. This story also brings in the previous lovebirds, Alpha Gage & mate Marissa and Enforcer Cain & mate Emily.
Whilst it was nice to catch up with friends, still nothing much happened in this story. Obviously setting it up for the next one and the overarching storyline of the were community coming out to humans.
Quite happy to keep reading this series, but hoping for a better story next time.
It has been a little while since I read this book. I really enjoy the series and always find every book too short. They are quick paced stories that hook you from the start. Alpha males with sassy gals! Plenty of smexy action to bring a gal's temperature up!!
Adam is yummy, and Tasha runs a tight ship. Great dynamic, one of my favorite styles, slit POV, part is from the hero and part from the heroine. This makes the story so much fuller! I loved that we dropped in to see my fav couple in the series Marissa and Gage! Like popping over to see old friends!
So I finally found out what was wrong here. It seems the females are easy to let go of their own selves. I don't know if this is about love or because it's just wrong. Anyway, I figured out that the father was with Logan. And that Adam would find out seeing them either kissing or doing the dirty. So I have to say this is a cliche.
Good short story approx. 80-100 pages. not as much action as the other books in the series. more about Adam getting used to being Alpha and also helping Tasha's sister which is great but if you're looking for action you wont find it here.
I love this series. Great story line by the author but I found in this book who ever is proof reading really needs to step up. Found so many wrong and misspelled words.
