This is really a 3 and a half. I liked the first story best. The second was equally interesting but, as I guessed the murderer early on, then I’ve dropped a half star. I’m usually rubbish at guessing, even Agatha Christie is a revelation. So I sneer a little if I can guess. Lol. Both good books. Not perfect but readable. Lovely.

Both books were good, although I liked Lake of Darkness more. The Veiled One was more of a typical murder mystery/crime story. Lake of Darkness seemed much more creative & interesting to me.
