Some of Paul Quenon's photography was on display in the retreatants' dining area years ago, and he certainly had a gift for capturing beauty where others might overlook it (such as raindrops on the outside of a window). I was disappointed that none of his photos were included in this book. There were quite a few typos and other errors which would have been caught by an editor, but the monks of Gethsemani live a simple life and no doubt felt money paid to an editor could better serve others' needs. The stories of the lives of the brothers before they entered the monastery interested me. I am glad I read the book and will pass it on to others now.
