Known as the queen of RaunchCom, AK Landow is a spicy RomCom author. She’s a recovering attorney living outside of the Philadelphia area with her husband, who she secretly pined for through her teen years, three crazy daughters, and multiple animals.

She enjoys reading, now writing, drinking copious amounts of vodka, and laughing. Having discovered there’s no other need in the world for funny perverts, she’s thrilled to have this new avenue to channel her age-inappropriate sense of humor.

She began her publishing journey with the City of Sisterly Love series, initially writing the first book, Knight, because it pisses her off that there are so few FMCs over the age of 40. She wrote it as an FU to the romance community to let them know that "oldies" still get it on. She fell so madly in love with both being an author and her fictitious family, that she can't seem to stop writing.

The entire series centers around a group of strong, intelligent, confident, and supportive women. The central family is known for severe cases of oversharing and walking in on each other. Hilarity often ensues.

The Belles of Broad Street series debuted in 2023 with Conflicting Ventures. Indecent Ventures and Unexpected Ventures followed shortly thereafter. The final book in the series, Enchanted Ventures, came out in early 2024. It world shares with the City of Sisterly Love series, but can be read as standalones.

2024 also became the year AK entered the sports romance world. Staying true to her goals of portraying strong women, her debut sports romance novel, Double Play, is both a baseball AND softball romance. It's the first in the Extra Innings series, which is now complete with four full-length novels and a prequel novella.

In 2025, AK is looking forward to diving into the world of women's basketball and men's football. The first book in the Fourth Quarter Fever series will be Home Town Advantage, coming on September 4, 2025.

Her writing is known for laughs, tears, and being one-handed reads.

I have never read anything like this before. I don’t read romance or anything like that.
This book however, has made me rethink my tastes in book genres.
I devoured this book in a couple of sittings, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, kept sneaking in pages whenever I could.
It is addictive, it is funny, it is sexy as hell, it is everything. The story is phenomenal, I love the characters so much, it’s unreal. I do have my favourite characters, but I’m not going to tell until I have read all the books in the series.
AK Landow is a unique, incredible writer. She writes with such a skill, if a character feels something, then you feel it. Such a incredible book.

Well crap- I’m over here crying before 9:00 a.m.
And any of my book besties can tell you- if a book makes me cry, it’s a MUST read!!

Sooo- this RomCom had me laughing my butt off, swooning over the MMC, brought on some sadness- but lots of happiness- hence the crying with happy tears!

The two main characters were developed so well, I’m absolutely in love with them and the way their story developed and the love they share.

I loved that the 2 mc’s were Middle Aged, and both hella good parents. The family dynamics with both families had me swooning. The banter between the parents and their kids-best friends was epic!!

The talk of one of the loss of a loved one was a beautiful story! I wish I knew Scott from his own book, but the way he is spoken about will make your heart melt. He is the epitome of a great husband and father.

I loved the patience between Knight and Darian. Knight was never pushy- alway the perfect gentleman, but he sure knew when to turn the spice on… and it gave me some enjoyable moments 🥵🤌🏻

I will be starting book 2
Today!!!!

Well  this was an unexpected find I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful romance. The story of broken hearts being mended and new love after loss is stunning I've never read anything like it but it was incredible . Darian  and Jacksons story  gave me all the feels . It was steamy and heartbreaking and beautiful.  This story really  hit me full force and I did double check it had a HEA it does but the journey to that was incredible there was  so many wee twists and turns  I doubted it would end well.  This author did such a spectacular  job of expressing   all the elements of love and loss.  💜🥺
Highly  recommend  this book

Refreshingly different

So nice to get a story about an older couple. I laughed & cried buckets with this one. The letters from Scott had me reaching for the tissues & blubbing so hard I couldn’t see as my glasses steamed up!
As a first novel, it was a great start. Looking forward to the next one.

If you are looking for a new author to read look no further because this is one and trust me you won't be disappointed.

Once I read the prologue I knew I was hooked and had to finish this story. I truly got lost in this book. This book hit me much differently than your typical second chance. Why? Well, because this is a second chance after the age of 40, and well Im 40. Yes, I just admitted my age. Darian and Jackson were learning to live again and it warmed my soul watching their growth. Each one of them had different things they had to overcome and certain steps they had to take in this story. While reading this two instances happened in this book that broke me emotionally but the after is what put me back together. Trust me Im sure the same thing will happen to you also. The side characters made this book so much more than just a romance book. Just picture the Brady family without the maid but toss in a best friend for Mrs. Brady. Are you getting the picture? You will not be disappointed reading this.

Jackson and Darian

So….the book starts with the husband dying. Right? It truly can only get better from there.

Darian loses her husband and it is taking years to move on. Her children are grown and everyone around Dare wants her to live life again. Her friends finally get her out for a girl’s night.

Jackson has been divorced for many years and is tired of the dating seen. He is finally talked into going out one night, just for himself.

Overall, I really liked the book and the characters. You just know the letters will be brutal. Extremely sad. Loved Jackson and his patience and care. Darian got to be a bit much as far as just not letting go but still good.

LOVED this story!! I smiled, laughed and cried repeatedly. Couldn’t put it down.

Loved the characters and the romance ❤️ as well as all the relatable references (Titos, Brady Bunch, 90210, Philadephia). I didn’t want it to end. I am so looking forward to reading Book 2. Very impressed that this was the authors first book.

I’ve never read a book like this and I loved it. Such a beautiful RomCom about two people finding love again and healing each other in the process. Darian and Jackson were so much fun. I enjoyed all of the characters so much. They each had their own unique personalities and were such a pleasure to read about.
I also loved how open and honest they all were with each other. Knight was full of comedy, romance, healing and love. I devoured this book and I can’t wait to read Harley’s story next.

Everything about this book is great; the characters, the struggles, the strength, the laughs, and of course the spice. AK Landow has a way with words, she makes you feel everything the characters do. This book will take you on a ride with some purely heartbreaking moments but some of the best characters that will have you laughing out loud in the next moment.

A.K. Landow didn’t just write a book, she created a tight-knit community. Knight centers around Darian, a vivacious widow trying to get back up with the help of friends and family.

And yes, the sexual content is hot as fuck, but equally amazing is the character development and the relationships forged between them.

I am truly amazed that this was AK Landow's first book. Seriously, woman! Where have you been hiding all my life?

Darian lost her husband, the love of her life, a few years ago. She's turned into a shell of a person, and the only things keeping her going are her three beautiful daughters and her amazing best friend, Cassandra (Cass).

And then she meets Jackson Knight, a handsome, sweet, dirty-talking man who wants nothing more than to sweep Darian off her feet. Can she let herself fall? Can she let go of her pain and start living again?

Oh, readers! It's a beautiful story!!! Darian has 3 grown daughters, and Jackson has 3 adult sons, and when they all get together, it's like a funny, not-PG13-rated version of The Brady Bunch. I adored Trevor (the main character of AK's third book, Cass) and Reagan and all of their craziness. And Cass was an absolutely fantastic character!

Darian and Jackson are absolutely smoking hot together! I loved that this story was about finding that second chance. It wasn't always easy, but AK Landow did a phenomenal job of dealing with all of the mixed emotions.

Keep writing, Ms. Landow, because I need MORE!

I love discovering new authors and will always cheer on people who stand up and hit the publish button on their first story! Go AK Landow!

This was a lovely story about a middle-aged couple getting a second chance. It was great to see almost 50-year-olds getting it on and making mistakes in the process!

A few typos here and there, but still a lovely story. I'll be back for the next one too!

This book was a very different look into a second chance romance. The main characters are an old couples, late 40s early 50s. Realize they have this insta connection and fall deep for each other. Darian is an widow with three daughters, and knight has three sons from a previous marriage that he got divorced. This book shows the love story, the hard stuff about letting go.

What a fabulous book!! I am not 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 years old and I just loved it. I loved the powerful yet feminine yet vulnerable women. I loved the age of the main characters. There was a perfect delicate balance between the humor, the sensuality and the tugging at your heart strings. I cannot believe this is AK LANDOW’S first book. She definitely has a fan in me.

What a pleasant surprise. I just found this book, and quickly read both in the series. I couldn't put them down. Why are more people not talking about this book? It's really different. It's a romance with an older couple, but it truly appeals to all age groups. It's hysterical, witty, a bit of a tear-jerker, and full of spice. HIGHLY recommend.

So there are very few books that have an older couple as their main lead. And boy oh boy, i loved Jackson and Darian so damm much!! So mature, settled and wonderful they are. They compliment each other so well and their love shown is so right. 5 stars is so less for this one . Got to go ugly cry, happy ones tho!! I ship Jackson and Darian forever

I really enjoyed this book. The spice was 🌶🌶🌶🌶. However the thing I liked most was the age of the characters...its not often the main characters are in their 40s..especially the heroine. I related more to her than I have to any character in a long time.

Cant wait for the second book

One word – Wow! That is how I would describe Knight: City of Sisterly Love. From the back cover summary and the cover of the book, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As I am not really a romantic drama type person, I normally shy away from that genre. This, however, was categorized as a romantic comedy so I thought I would keep an open mind (you never know). I can’t even begin to describe how loudly I laughed through most of this book! Now don’t get me wrong, there is suspense and drama but it wasn’t all encompassing. This book played my heart like a fiddle. Again, I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I blushed (and trust me, I did that last one a lot!)

It’s been three years since the love of Darian’s life passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack. Her life will never be the same and, despite the efforts of her three daughters and best friend Cass, she doesn’t want to go on without her beloved Scott. He was her everything for over twenty years. Despite Cass’s relentlessness about Darian getting back out there, she just can’t do it. Cass finally decides enough is enough and forces Darian to make good on her promise of a girls’ night out. Against her better judgment, she agrees. Across town, Jackson is trying his hardest to resist the badgering of his son and his assistant. He finally caves and agrees to check out a cover band, have a drink, then head home. What he didn’t agree to was being distracted by a laugh coming from the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. It is an attraction he has never experienced, especially under the circumstances that landing him with his now ex-wife. Jackson is determined to get to know Darian more but how close can he get to a woman who still longs for a man no longer with them?

What I like about it: This book had everything. It was surprisingly witty – especially when the kids or Cass were involved. It had so much heart – I loved the relationship between Cass and Darian and the parents with their children. It has suspense – the ominous situation with Bryan and how all of that was going to play out. The drama of Jackson spiraling, Darian learning Scott’s secret, Darian caught between two worlds – wanting to move on but wanting to remain undying loyal to her husband – all the feels!

AK does make a very interesting point in her book, through Jackson’s father, that I never realized. When people divorce, if they are the one initiating it, they made a choice to walk away. With a widow or widower, they didn’t make that choice. A part of their heart was involuntarily ripped away from them and some people never come back from that. As far as they are concerned, they are still committed to the one they lost and moving on from them is a sign of disrespect and tarnishes the loved they once shared. Again, never thought about any of it in that way and in my own life, it makes me understand my mother’s fiancé more as he refuses to move on from my Mom even though she has been gone for five years. Bit personal for a review but a special thank you to AK for helping me understand that.

Back to the characters, watching Jackson fall in love with Darian was honestly my favorite part of this entire book. First off, can we clone him? I mean you couldn’t have structured a better man physically, emotionally, and psychologically if you tried. He is the mold for book boyfriends!

Speaking of which, saying the book was hot is an understatement. How it didn’t simply burst into flames is beyond me. AK wrote scenes so hot, so intense, to lust filled that you needed to grab some ice and cool down before going back to the story. The crazy part is that you think you have read an intense scene and there is no way she could possibly top that, and then you keep reading and you discover yes, yes she can!

I can’t believe how much I loved this book! She has a prologue in it for Book #2 and I couldn’t get my hands on that book fast enough. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has to offer. I know I say that often but again, NEVER read a prologue and skipped every ARC and TBR book in my list to read the next book in a series. This was a first and yes, AK is that talented of a writer!

Tropes:
🔥Second-Chance Love
🔥Love After Loss
🔥Rom-Com With Lots of 🌶️

I absolutely LOVED this book! I smiled, laughed and cried through this whole book. Loved the characters and their romance. I didn’t want it to end.

Darian and Jackson’s story gave me so many feels. It was steamy, funny, heartbreaking, and beautiful. Their banter is perfect. The journey in this book was incredible. loved that characters were older and trying to find love again at their age with Darian trying to find love again after losing her husband three years ago, while Jackson is looking for his One True Love after being divorced for over five years.

Darian is a lawyer and ‘My Gawd’ when she goes all lawyer on a character in the book 🥰 and Lord Almighty, Jackson Knight and come wisk me away RIGHT F-ING NOW! 🫠
Crazy Cass, Darian’s best friend/sister is hilarious and Darian’s daughters and Jackson’s sons are sweet, funny and heartwarming.

AK Landow did such an incredible job of expressing all the elements of love and loss. I can’t wait to read Book 2.

I HIGHLY recommend this book

This book had me in my feels from the prologue all the way to the end!

Darian and Jackson have a lot of challenges to get through for the happily ever after. Darian is a widow who can’t fathom moving on from her husband and Jackson is a divorced father who has never really been in love.

Jackson falls hard and fast but he’s so patient and amazing with Darian and her grief. They get thrown some curveballs, though. There’s blackmail that gives Jackson a glimpse of how much of a boss babe Darian really is, and there is a huge lack of communication between them that leads to a horrible third act breakup and a spectacular display of love on Darian’s part to repair what was broken.

I am diving straight into the next book in this series!

My friend Grelyn recommended this series to me and omg....thank you gurl,!!

Darians husband passed away unexpectedly and for the 1st 3 years she's heart broken. At the insistence of her friend she goes to see a cover band.
Jackson has never been in love. He was married but is now divorced. He goes out to see the cover band and meets Darian they end up talking on the phone few times trying to get her to agree to go out.
I loved this story so much. My heart broke for Darian and Jackson both. The guilt of trying to move on and guilt at being attracted to someone else.
I loved crazy Cass and the girls and Jackson's boys. Such a good book!

Oh my lord, this is a really good story! Two lonesome someones looking for companionship and to start living again. Darian has been a widow for 3 years. She is an attorney with 3 daughters. Her friends have been trying to get her to go out but she does not think she is ready. But her very close friend, Cassandra, feels differently. She gets her to go to a place and start having fun dancing. She meets this very attractive guy, Jackson, and they hit it off. She wants to take it slow. She is a terrific woman but loved her husband wholeheartedly. Can she love again? Is it a betrayal? If Jackson has anything to say, it won’t be.
