I never thought I would find myself reviewing a Little Golden Book, but this children's biography of Iris Apfel is so charming and joyous that I wanted to share it with anyone who has a child in their life who might enjoy it, or is simply young at heart.
This series of Little Golden Books includes biographies of a number of individuals in the arts, including Dolly Parton, Beyoncé, Misty Copeland, and Frida Kahlo. They are perfect for instilling the idea that a child can do just about anything they dream about, and inspiring them with the life stories of these successful individuals.
Please note that this review is for a Kindle book, but the traditional hardcover with its distinctive goldtone edge is available at retailers or on Amazon. I purchased mine at an area supermarket.
Very cute but seemed to lack the artsy heart and vibe I love so much in the Little People, Big Dreams series. Felt like a few more chefs were in the kitchen. But still cute although I wonder if a child would understand why Iris was famous.
