It's a BIG book, and is probably a good choice for anybody studying for their CCNA exam. It seems to be quite comprehensive, but I will only be able to determine that once I'm a little more informed in the industry. Still, I definitely feel much better versed with the grand view of everything a CCNA license will entail.

There are just a few things I noticed about this book that kept it from being a 5-star tome:
1. At the beginning of the book, more time was taken to carefully explain things, to lay out alternatives, to provide examples and diagrams. By the end of the book, it just seemed to read more like a technical manual... cut & paste the definitions here, do bullets there, etc. Almost like the author(s) just got tired out by the end.

2. As the book went on, I began noticing a number of spelling/grammar/number errors. First the IP Addresses in some examples did not match at all with the text, or the diagram had IP address errors even in its own pictures. After about midway, you could expect a fairly regular error that the spellcheck did not catch. Due to the size, I'm sure it was not proofread as much as it could've been.

3. The quiz prep questions were just 5-11 questions for each entire chapter. I always felt like each chapter should've had many more questions if you really wanted to test the knowledge that you just read about. Looking forward to the CD to continues testing more extensively.

The included CD is a big plus, as there are hundreds of additional test questions in a computer-quiz setup. It tells you right or wrong after each question and why (if you missed it) - which I believe is also a tremendous learning tool. So overall, this is a very good book that does well covering the breadth of the CCNA exam. However, it could've used a little more work (especially the last 2/3rds) in proofreading, fewer cookie-cutter chapters, and more explanatory language and examples.
