I'm honored to just have read this. What a shockingly wonderful and amazing woman. Her story is far and away one of the most powerful stories I have ever read. I really wish I could have met her in person.

This is an odd book to find and not very easy to come by, but if you do, you should snap it up. The book series is meant for Studies in Judaica and the Holocaust, so in general it seems that only students (high school and college) ever come across it, but it really deserves to be read by everyone.

The full power of a seemingly helpless single human is clearly on display. If we all had a little Irene in us, this world would be a very different place. I love this woman like I love my own mother.
