Rate this book
A groundbreaking method of art instruction, unique to Walter Foster Publishing, that won't be found anywhere else on the market Blossoming flowers are a favorite subject among painters, and an exotic hummingbird is sure to attract attention. The newest addition to our Layer by Layer painting series offers beginning artists an opportunity to create a beautiful floral scene of their very own-even if they've never before touched paintbrush to canvas! Everything needed to re-create this still life of two vibrant hibiscus flowers and a visiting hummingbird is provided in the kit. This groundbreaking method of art instruction makes learning to paint easier than ever before by breaking down each section of the painting into "layers," providing color samples and the exact formulas needed to mix each color. The kit includes a color-measuring grid (that also acts as a mixing palette) so artists easily can get the correct color mixtures. And the scene is preprinted onto a canvas board, so aspiring artists don?t even have to know how to draw. Learning to paint has never been so simple!
