Smart Money Strategy takes you beyond the money management basics that most personal finance books cover to reveal real financial planning strategies that financial planners use with their clients.
There are four parts to the book starting with 'The foundations' which talks to having the right mindset and behaviours. This includes getting your focus on goal setting which guides what strategies you use. The second part of the book talks about "strategy stacking", an original concept by the author which explores how different financial strategies work together. The third part of the book are the financial planning strategies themselves. Each financial planning strategy is explained in solid detail, along with when to use it as well as do's and don'ts. The strategies cover everything from daily money management, to investment, super, retirement, wealth protection and estate planning strategies. The final section of the book is putting your plan into action, which talks to creating a financial plan and how seeking advice works.
A wide variety of people would benefit from this book. It opens up a world of information that most people would never know about. I suspect though smart people will be drawn to this book. It won't be for everyone, even though I think everyone could benefit from the strategies in this book. Even if you have a financial planner, I think a book like this could also help you have a more confident financial planning conversation with them and help ensure you're not missing out on any strategies.
