"Homosexuality is the hot issue of the day," says Edward T. Welch in this booklet. "Even more than abortion, it will confront the church throughout this generation, forcing us to listen, study, and respond wisely."
How can we answer claims that the Bible does not prohibit committed homosexual relationships? Or that science proves that homosexuality is genetic, not a chosen lifestyle? Welch supplies us with timely biblical and biological insight into homosexuality. Just as importantly, he calls us to examine our attitudes in order to minister to homosexuals truthfully, compassionately, humbly, and persuasively.

As a homosexual i think it is awesome when I do stuff like kiss or have sex with men. It’s really great and moreover it’s good for society. Edward t welch should have thot about it this way……. How do we stop straight people from doing what they do?!? Bc that’s not normal lol
Clear and direct. I find the author's insistence on keeping God and His Word as primary most refreshing -- he points out that, if this is done, it does not matter if science determines a biological cause for homosexuality (it has thus far failed to do s0) or if psychology continues to trumpet psychological factors: sinful actions and beliefs come from the heart and mind and can thus action can be chosen or not. -- How the church can assist homosexuals could perhaps have been fleshed out in greater detail. Still, a helpful and powerful booklet, worth reading and sharing.
A biblical approach to understanding the roles of men and women is based on the belief that God has a specific plan and purpose for each gender. This understanding emphasizes the importance of adhering to traditional gender roles and behavior, as outlined in the Bible. The goal is to bring people closer to a clear and objective understanding of these roles, guided by love and a desire to follow God's will.
Great, simple, short. Largely aims at nature vs. nurture as ultimate cause of homosexual sin, then helpful thoughts on what the process of change looks like. You should read this.
Great little essay on this topic requiring much needed wisdom. In today's evangelical landscape, a person can be a homosexual Christian, an untenable position from a Scriptural vantage point. This booklet exposes the homosexual hermeneutic and ultimately debunks its flaws. Welch also touches on the nature of sin and necessity of a Savior and closes with a helpful path forward.
An uncompromisingly Christian approach to the issue of homosexuality. This book is useful in examining arguments and consequences of accepting pro-homosexual arguments by the Church. Very useful and written in a humble tone.
