Malachai - We got the call to meet our parents at the hospital. Something had happened to Bobbit. My heart stopped. Naim isn't acting like herself, and Mordecai looks like he's about to punch the first person who looks at him wrong. Aside from that though, my girl got a hell of a shitty birthday message from her mother, and I'm not about to lose her when I just got her.

The universe can 'f off with this shit.

This book was to conclude some of the Bennett kids stories. Mord met Ainsley on her first day. She was a twin like him and Mal. So they were assigned to show them around the school. While Mord was taking her around he got dizzy. He looked in his bag for a snack and he didn’t have one so they went to the vending machine. He pulled out his wallet and dropped it. So he asked her to get him some juice from the machine. She did and she asked what was wrong and he told her he was diabetic. They became good friends. Mord really liked her but he wanted to go at her pace. One night they were together and started kissing and she panicked. A lot happened in the book. She told him eventually what happened to why she panicked. They went to homecoming and someone spiked her drink. Luckily Mord was watching her. He saw her stumbling so he went to talk to her brother and he knew it was going to happen to try to get her to loosen up. He took her back to his house so nothing happened to her. The book ended on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next one!!

Malicious Intent is book two of the Angler Prep Series.

We continue almost exactly where the first book left us. We get to delve a bit more into the siblings lives. We see a lot of growth with all of the siblings.

My favourite character is Mordecai and I need to read the next book in the series to see what is happening with this character. He has grown so much from the first book. I want him to get his happy ending as he has become such a great person. He is always there for his family, but when things get tough he uses humour to make it seem like all is alright. I am hoping for the best for this character.

I'm also glad that it seems one character has finally gotten the ending he deserved for all of the destruction he has made on so many people. This is a side character, but when you read the book you'll know who I mean.

In this second book of the series things aren’t any easier for this group of siblings. They are all going through their own struggles while trying to help each other and the people they care about with theirs. They do have some moments of light when things are going better and they treasure those times as they aren’t used to much good happening or sticking around for too long.
Again, it is a beautiful love story of the siblings as well as their love interests. They go through some unexpected moments that they need to go through and learn from. They need to trust in each other more even though they do everything for each other, they all seem to want to take care of everything for everyone else no matter what it’s doing to themselves.
Still plenty of spice and drama and that ending!!! OMG! I need more!!

This is the second book in the "Angler Prep" series and needs to be read in order. Please check the trigger warnings because it deals with mental health issues.

This book picks up where book one leaves off. Naim's life is crumbling around her and her siblets. Some secrets have come to light that none of them know how to deal with. So Naim does the only thing she knows. Drink and smoke her problems away. But she cant this time. They need to face this all together so they dont fall apart.

This book ends on a cliffhanger so hold on to your hats people. It was such a good read. The siblings are all amazing in their own right and having to deal with life.

Malicious Intent picks up where What's In A Naim leaves off continuing the Bennet siblings story. My goodness this book is absolutely gutwrenching at times and infuriating at other times. This author definitely knows how to pull her readers in and holds them hostage until the final page. And that ending! I can't wait for Boise Blues! Again, make sure you check the trigger warnings before you start and you absolutely have to read What's In A Naim before this one. Absolutely recommend this series!

This book picked up right where the first one left off and Im so happy for that. I love the growth we see in all the characters but I think Malachi is my Favorite. He grew up so much in this book. This book had me feeling different things the whole time. One minute I’d be mad and then before I knew it I felt like crying. Another I recommend and Im waiting for the next one to come out. Book 2 of the Angler Prep series, Malicious Intent picks up right were What's In A Naim leaves off (Book1- should be read before this one). So much drama, angst, and crazy to unpack. The Bennett sibs aren't necessarily well-adjusted for handling loads of grief and processing their trauma normally. Naim attempts to drink away her woes while Mord is getting closer to and protecting a new friend. And OF COURSE.. it ends on a cliff so be prepared to wait it out!
